Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I returned my vehicle to you times and the issue was not resolved with the transmissionI did give you a star review after my initial satisfaction with your services however, not even a month later the same issues you were supposed to have corrected presented themselves again and continued to not be corrected every time I brought my vehicle backI was without a vehicle for months awaiting your resolution and every time I got my vehicle back from the initial re presentation of the problem I did not have it for more than 1-daysWas I supposed to continue to bring it back to your incapable hands so that it could continue to get worse? Yes I had a very similar situation with an aftermarket turbo that a mechanic told me he was experienced and knowledgeable in installing and was not but, that has nothing to do with the complaint I have made against your company and the only thing I'm guilty of is listening to the so called professionals that I trusted with my vehicleI would have continued to be a valued customer if my issue with your incapability to repair and honor your warranty on my transmission had been met which is why I have discontinued bringing my vehicles to you and have found a shop that I will stay loyal to who has corrected the mistakes you made on my transmission and will now be doing all future work on all of my vehiclesYou damaged my transmission and continued to cause further damage by continuing to work on it without having proper knowledge of how to repair my transmissionI would like for you to accept some kind of responsibility for your mistakes and refund all or part of the money I paid you to fix my vehicle that was never fixed Regards, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] , Re: [redacted] Dodge Ram LDiesel We've received your concern regarding the below referenced vehicle On or about January 20, 2018, you and I discussed the improper installation of an after market turbo and performance transmission by another repair facility, and you requested my aid in providing an estimate for repairs in which to present to get refunded (by that facility)Once the truck was initially diagnosed, it was found to have an aftermarket turbo, transmission, performance tuner, aftermarket alarm system, and deleted exhaust system, making the vehicle illegal to drive on the streetThe turbo was found to have been improperly installedAt this point, you authorized repairs on the vehicle (invoice attached)We installed your provided turbo and headers, and found the transmission to have no reverseYou then authorized a full overhaul on the transmission to remove concernsMultiple alterations made to any vehicles components run risk of breaking down due to them not being designed in conjunction with original standard equipment The transmission on the below referenced vehicle had a year/mile warranty on all components-electrical and mechanicalSince receiving your concern on this vehicle, I've learned you have taken the truck to another facility to be serviced, which in turn means, you did not bring the truck back to Boss Automotive for servicing or diagnosis, only a request that I pay outright for all the repairs you had already done on components that held our warrantyAny/all repairs done to warrantied repairs under Boss Automotive , by another facility and/or persons would in turn null and void the warranty under Boss AutomotiveWithout any knowledge on faulted components or issues with our repairs, along with a diagnostic review from one of our mechanics, there isn't anything further I can do Lastly, receiving your small claims case appears to be very similar, if not identical to the situation that I assisted you with back on January 20, 2018, when you initially brought this vehicle into Boss Automotive for repairsIt's important that this be noted in this response letter, so that whomever reads this from a legal perspective knows that you have a consistent pattern of filing legal matters for similar/identical issues within the automotive industry In closing, after the repairs made on your truck you left us a star review on Facebook commending our great service and the repairs made to your vehicleDuring that time, you brought in other vehicles to Boss Automotive for repair We appreciated your business -Management

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

*** ***See Response below: Case# *** July 20, 2016 Boss Automotive, Clearly you missed the entire premise of my letterPrior to my being towed home as a result of my car overheating during 5:traffic in degree weather just days after I picked it up from you, I had not considered withholding payment in lieu of a resolution from youI felt that as a consumer; my less than pleasant experience during the days of doing business with Boss Automotive would be of interest to you as a business ownerHowever, from your response it appears you are very aware of the ‘customer service experience’ provided by your staff (son in particular) representing your business. In closing, I have been able to trace the ‘leak’ to a hose located just behind the throttle body assembly (which you did replace) and while I did not ask you to forgive my debt I gladly accept your offer and will use it to finish the repairs on my vehicle. Regards,*** ***

Mrs***, I apologize you feel this way about your experience here at Boss AutomotiveYou are more than able to obtain a copy of your insurance paperwork through your insurance company, as they are the ones who retain those recordsI have not received any phone calls from you personally,
however we have had some work done to our phone lines recently so the call may have been interruptedOur main number here at our *** location is ***I am a little upset that have gone to this drastic of measure to describe your unhappiness, as when we were face to face when you picked up your vehicle, it was a very pleasant experience full of laughter and jokesIf you were upset with any part of our customer or vehicle service, I wish you would have addressed that at the time when there was a multitude of answers to any of your concerns and not sign your receipt saying that you agree all services were met May I also remind you we have no obligation to reimburse you any rental car fees as that's not agreed anywhere on any paperwork through our establishment or your automotive insurance policy, we were simply trying to help you with an unexpected extension to insure all necessary repairs were completed to your vehicleWe did agree to pay half of the extension, however I have not received any rental receipt from you Mrs***, so I really haven't had a way to properly do soThis offer still stands, if you would like to discuss this, you have all of my contact information below your receiptI hope this misunderstanding has been cleared, and we are able to retain you as a customer in the futureThank you and have a beautiful day

Mr[redacted], ? Re: [redacted] Dodge Ram LDiesel ? We've received your concern regarding the below referenced vehicle? On or about January 20, 2018, you and I discussed the improper installation of an after market turbo and performance transmission by another

I am rejecting this response because: it is a complete and total fabrication. I intend to pursue criminal charges as well as utilizing our claims court. No one eye should be subjected to outright theft.

Vehicle arrived via tow truck in no crank no start condition with siren control module removed and paneling covering module removed. Vehicle arrived with module opened up as customer had seen online that only battery could be replaced but he had broken the module in his attempt. After initial...

inspection, our mechanic diagnosed module as bad, and would require a new siren control module for further diagnosis, as this module inoperable will not allow vehicle to start as it sees a possible theft. Customer didn't want us to provide part, customer brought in their own part ordered via Ebay for us to install. Replacement of the control module called for .8 hours labor, adding to a $80.00 install fee for labor. Once part arrived one week later, installed customers module, found key immobilizer to not be communicating with BCM, which is an issue that could not be assessed until siren module installed. Mr. [redacted] agreed to repairs via phone and in person when he brought us his part for install. Vehicle required key FOB reprogramming due to new siren control module and key immobilizer. Although customer states we lied about inability to reprogram, Volvo is not the only dealership or repair facility that can reprogram, companies such as Protech Electronics, which we sub our reprogramming work to (mobile repair/reprogram done at shop facility) was able to reprogram key with no issues, however before authorization was given to reprogram, customer became very hostile stating we said we could reprogram and we couldn't, mind you Protech electronics responds within 2 business days. We were told to suspend all work which was done, customer came with wife, who started making completely false claims which can be proven via video tape, made absurd sexist and violent threatening remarks of biker gang that would be coming to get her money from us. After such rude interaction, husband returned to pay for install of supplied part, key immobilizer, and the tow from Boss Automotive to Volvo dealership. Tow from their home to the shop had already be comped for good business standing. At this time the customer had paid for services requested, didn't pay for initial tow due to good Business standing from Boss Automotive Towing, and the vehicle never returned. After this more threats appeared as well as harassment to other good Boss Automotive Customers via Facebook for simply being pleased with our services. The owner reached out to her after seeing these things on Facebook, to try to ease or resolve the situation, she said she had nothing to say to me and would not allow me to talk, therefore I ended the conversation. All in all, the vehicle came as a no crank no start, only worked on what was authorized, and upon diagnosis done by actual seasoned mechanic, not Google and Youtube, customer found that they knew more about the situation than us, and was towed away a no crank no start. No compensation will be done as only charged items were what was requested and done, already gave them a free tow, and had to take time out of my day to apologize to existing customers that were harassed by Mr. [redacted] wife, and a severe lack of professionalism. Although customer is stating Volvos diagnosis was to reprogram key as it is a required step in these parts replacements, that is the exact same diagnosis provided by us before these gross accusations were made. Boss Automotive[redacted]fax: [redacted]

Ms. [redacted], The balance of your invoice was over a thousand dollars, you asked us to erase the debt owed and we did. Apparently that's all you wanted, and we gave it to you. Its obvious thats what you were trying to do since the beginning as you expressed your concerns with not being able to...

pay in full. We have paid for a new ECM and throttle body for your vehicle and done all of the necessary repairs and programming required for free, your welcome. We consider this matter closed, as we have done above and beyond what you asked. I do apologize for your vehicles trouble with its cooling system, however all of our repairs were electrical and did not manipulate or do any repairs to any cooling components. Thank you and have a great day. P.S We don't know any shops in San Antonio that do repairs for free.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I was unaware at the time of pick up I was being screwed. until I got the bill from the car rental, which it my understanding you were going to call them about. as faras the receipt, I did ask for this before picking up. and my insurance will have what they paid you for, but that may not be what you actually did.  so yes I wanted a receipt.
Regards,
