Stay away!!!
**WARNING: Do NOT do business with this company, unless you want to be cheated, robbed, and/or extorted from!**

I'd give a NEGATIVE star review if I could! Don't take just my word for it, go out and read all of the one-star reviews on Yelp. The level of malpractice and deception by this company is astonishing!

After completing repayment on the dealer financed loan on our vehicle in full, we have a statement from the company that verifies this, this company is now trying to extort $30,000 from us to 'keep our car and avoid repossession due to breach of contract', and when they couldn't get it from us, they tried strongarming our bank!

They claim we missed payments, which we did not. We were never notified of any late or missed payments (there weren't any), nor ever charged a late fee. We did have one that went late due to a bank teller's error for which the bank reached out giving proof we DID submit the payment on time, but it was their error it didn't go out on time. In Wisconsin (where this contract is legally considered to have taken place, as we received the car here), even if you are late or have missed payments, the financer is required to notify you of the fault, and you are permitted the "right to cure" which we did, immediately upon discovery.

We were instead told that we missed a payment (we were 3 payments away from finishing a four year agreement, with no missed payments) they were coming for the car, but if we wanted to keep it, we (or our bank, because according to them they have insurance for this, get them to do it, it was their mistake) needed to pay Boss Exotics an additional $30,000. We have all of this in writing in emails directly from the company, as does our bank.

They also continued to issue us new "dealer tags" ILLEGALLY for the entire 4 years, and we were never able to legally register the car in Wisconsin. Now it's paid off and we'd like to sell it, but they are withholding the title and stopped corresponding with us, or our bank when they didn't get what they wanted. Apparently, we can go through channels here and get a "bonded title", but we shouldn't have to do this!

They do not even possess a dealer's license in the state of Texas as it was revoked in 2020 and the owner was brought up on charges of wire fraud and went to federal prison! Here is a letter we just received on 2/18/23 directly from the Texas DMV department of investigations on Texas auto dealers:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------... [Sir],

I am Assistant Chief Investigator Skendrovic of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. The TXDMV is in receipt of your complaint.

The dealer Boss Exotics license was revoked by our agency on 12/1/20 and was assessed a civil penalty along with the revocation. The owner Taylor McGaffey was the subject of a subsequent investigation that was conducted in conjunction with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the US Attorney's office. Taylor McGaffey was arrested and charged with wire fraud and was subsequently sent to federal prison.

I know this information is not an answer to the title issue you are currently experiencing. If you were a resident of the state of Texas you would be eligible to get a title based on the dealer being out of business, but because you reside in Wisconsin, I must refer you to whatever title process your state has to obtain a title. (Bonded)

I have attached the last Texas record to indicate to you that the title was issued and is currently in the dealer business name.

The dealer license is closed and in actuality the attorney will not seek a penalty against him at this point.

I hope the state of Wisconsin offers you a solution to this dilemma...

I have completed my investigation regarding your recent complaint filed with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles - Enforcement Division. The dealer’s license is closed, and our records indicate the dealer is no longer engaged in business as a motor vehicle dealer. Accordingly, any violations noted will be forwarded to the case attorney for review.

You may have claims or avenues of redress that can be pursued in other forums. You may wish to consult with a private attorney to discuss your options.

Thank you for bringing this matter to the attention of the Enforcement Division.

Paul Skendrovic, Asssistant Chief Investigator
Enforcement Division-Motor Vehicle
Texas Department of Motor Vehicles------------------------------------------------------

We will be contacting the Attorney General's office next, as well as pursuing a Class Action Suit, as CLEARLY there are many, many folks getting scammed by these crooks! If you'd like to be part of this lawsuit, we'll be posting notice here, and all-over social media as soon as it gets underway, so watch for that.

And, I'm sure they'll be tagging this post as "fake" just like all the rest, but I assure you, it is not, and we are most definitely NOT FAKE!

+1

BOSS EXOTICS IS A JOKE
The purchase of my McLaren 570GT from Kyle Dec 1, 2020. Boss Exotics, Where do we begin... First off he was very tough to communicate with and pretty much wanted me to find all of the info out on my own and would seem irritated if I asked questions. I was looking at purchasing the car from the previous owner, but he had got to it before I did. I knew the price he paid and offered him a fair profit over that and not have to do anything to the car, to which he declined, but I still agreed to purchase it based on the condition he said it was in(which was PERFECT). The car was wrapped previously and the car had adhesive residue all over it as well as pieces of the wrap left in some areas(let's not mention all of the cut marks around the car).
I flew into DFW to meet Kyle, which he picked me up in the car, and upon first glance, this car was not in the shape he told me it was in. He told me to get in the car and that we were going to another store for him to pick a car up and then go back to his lot to finish paperwork up. I agreed and got in the car and we went to a Mercedes dealership to pick up this car. When we got there, I got out and was able to look at the car in better light and noticed all of the stuff from the wrap, and some pigment issues in the paint in several areas making it appear it had been resprayed horribly. The car is a Volcano Orange 2017 McLaren 570GT. I started talking to him about the issues and concerns I had with this car and tried to tell him I wasn't paying the price we talked about because the car was not in the condition he said it was in. He started getting defensive and all over the place in what he was saying and telling me it was fine and/or he told me that(He Didn"t). I had called a friend to seek advise on how to move forward with this(being as I am stuck in Dallas if I don't get this car).
So, here we are in this dilemma with my vehicle purchase. I express to him I want the discount or send the money back to my bank and cancel the deal. Of course, he doesn't want to cancel the deal as he will lose out on the sale, but he also doesn't want to hand over any money. Mind you, we are still in the parking lot of this dealership near service department, and then out of nowhere he says "I am going to get this car and I'll be right back" then proceeded to toss the paperwork/title/ect(which I haven't signed) into the seat, and walk inside. I called my friend back and waited for what seemed like 30~ minutes and he was nowhere to be found. I called him asking where he was and if he was coming back and he said "No, I have a meeting and other things to do". I told him the issues I had and I wanted money back, to which he told me of a body shop local to take it to and he would have pay to have it fixed. Mind you, I live over 6 hours away and this was my ONLY way home and he wants me to drop this off to a body shop I don't know and have no way to get home until a flight the next day, plus hotel cost, and an Uber ride.
I sat around the dealer for about another hour and I kept calling and trying to work it out with him if we were to drop it off and he would just say he would call back and kept hanging up. I finally gave up and made the drive home after he said he would handle it and get me money back and make it right, but couldn't get to the bank until the next day because of his "Meeting". After making a stop for fuel before leaving town I started taking some pictures I noticed he put a TWO MONTH EXPIRED TEMP TAG ON THE CAR! SO, I have an expired tag, paperwork that is not signed, and a car that has some issues and I CANNOT find this guy.
Fast Forward, now 4 months later, I still have nothing from him and all he wanted me to do was take it to his shop to have it "looked at", but never says fixed. He refuses to give me any money back as he agreed to when we spoke the day of, and ignores my calls/texts. I have the car unregistered still, blank title work, and am short the $5,000 we agreed to get back to make repairs...
This dude is A TOTAL hack and piece of garbage. STAY FAR AWAY from Boss Exotics!

They hide fees & are unresponsive
1) Free shipping; until the deal is done & they said they're not making enough money on the deal & they need to charge another $500 to cover the shipping.

2) The offered me internal financing, that last minute was swapped to a lease that's highway robbery.

3) Salesperson said 1st payment due in 45d but in reality was 30d. They then charged a $100/d late fee without me knowing it for 2m because I never received a billing statement for 2-3m later when it then showed an 8k+ late fee!

4) I've tried to refinance out of this situation & NO bank will work with them because of their reputation.

5) I've requested billing statements for tax purposes, Boss Exotics is unresponsive to multiple attempts.

Desired Outcome

1) Remove ALL late fees 2) Make accommodations like literally EVERY other bank in the US during this COVID time

BOSS Exotics Response • May 20, 2020

1- This customer bought a car from us and was offered free shipping but he requested it to be on an enclosed trailer so that was explained to him it was extra.

2- We do not offer financing on any cars as we only sell, rent or lease them.

3- The customer was aware of the monthly price and knew when his payments were due in the contract, however he did not make him first 3 payments and therefore had late fees.

4- The customer has never had any banks contact us to purchase his car. We work with all banks and we have never had a bank not work with us before.

5- We email a statement each month showing payments made and what is owed.

The customer contacted us recently to tell us he lost his job and asked if he could go without making his payments and still keep the car and we told him no so he retaliated and wrote this fake review. He has since stated he removed the review but it seems it is still showing.

I bought my Lamborghini Aventador Roadster at BOSS Exotics about 2 months ago and they provided nothing but great customer service. They worked with me, and provided the best pricing! They made the entire process very easy, I did not have to spend all day their which was my main concern. They recently called to ask how I am liking my new car which really shows how much they value their customers!

Give him 20 thousand dollars for deposit and agree with me to pick up the car on Monday n he block me and told me he sold the car n refused to give my deposit back

Account_Number: SBM13DAAXGWXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Refund By giving me my deposit back or putting my deposit towards a nother car

BOSS Exotics Response • Feb 19, 2020

The customer placed a non refundable deposit on a car and did not pay for the car in full within the agreed timeframe and therefore forfeited his deposit. However, we will agree to give him a concession if the customer still buys a car from us.

Customer Response • Feb 20, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The due data was for February 17 which she sold a car before that if I would get a nother car from him I would need 20,000 deposit going towards that new car
