The barrel was clearly marked as property of Boss Lubricants and had a sticker on the side referring to a $ 50 deposit on the side.As I arrived on the site I parked my truck on the premises and met an [redacted] with a company coverall who referred me to the office to provide the information for the refund.In the office a male company employee took down my address and told me that only [redacted] does the refunds who was not in at the time.When I returned to my vehicle the barrel was removed which I considered a service at the time although I had not authorized it.Three weeks went by with no cheque in the mail so I went back and a different male employee took down my address and again [redacted] was not around to do the refund.This past Wednesday, May 28 I stopped by again to inquire when a lady sat in the office; I asked her if she was [redacted] and she said yes. As soon I mentioned the name of my company [redacted]. she right away knew that it had to do with a refund and eluded to me that Head Office had asked for documentation of the original sale. I asked her when that came into effect and why I was not informed before or ever been contacted about it; she could not answer to this question. It should be clear enough to return a barrel clearly marked as property of Boss Lubricants and the appropriate sticker for the refund on it.Anyways I had a copy of the original sale with me which she took a copy from and said that Head Office will look into it.She offered me to credit the 50 $ towards a purchase on the spot or offered me an empty drum, but no money; needless to say that she was willing to accept payment for a purchase at that point.Desired SettlementI am looking for a correct and prompt treatment in the refunding of the deposit, as [redacted] stated: 50 Dollars plus GST.[redacted]Business Response The complaint has been resolved. Mr. [redacted] is not a regular customer and thus had no account with us. Because of this we did not have any drum credits in the system for him. We asked him to produce a copy of the invoice showing the drum deposit and we would gladly refund the deposit amount. When Mr. [redacted] returned with the invoice we had a cheque mailed out to him.[redacted]
