Customer towed unit to our shop with a no start issue, truck batteries and starter where failed due to the customer or someone prior to us had cranked the engine so much that it did damage to these items, we had to change batteries and starter to attempt to start unit to find the problem,...

after being able to start the unit truck had a fuel knock and all codes and trouble shooting pointed to failed injectors, unit also had contaminated fuel which could cause failed injectors, replaced injectors, got truck running and had to bring unit to fuel station to fill with fresh fuel, upon driving to the fuel station with the customer engine started knocking, after returning to our shop we removed the oil pan and found severe damage too lower end of engine. After speaking with the drivers passenger he indicated that before they had unit towed to our shop that the engine had a severe noise which they neglected to tell us, and he admitted to telling the driver that he needs to stop before creating extensive damage to the engine, and the driver did NOT stop. This has all been explained to the customer. The bottom line is that there is no way that this much damage could have occurred to this engine from replacing injectors. Crank shaft, rods and main bearings were severely damaged. There is more to this story than what the customer is reveling and all of this has been explained to him.

The problem this shop isnt understanding is that whatever they are saying maybe true; however by them miss spoken and demanding payment up front without getting the truck fixed properly created issue for me to go get the money from [redacted] Trave Center where I fueled prior to break down. If your mechanics or service manager Sean Young telling me the unit will start after replacingthe injectors.Problem now I m having is [redacted] wont pay to fix my truck and I m now paying $32,000 for repairs.  Issue #1 Miss communocation as to whats wrong with unit.Issue #2 Why did your shop demanded payment and assured me there was nothing else was wrongwith the truck. Now I cant demand payment from [redacted].Your firm created a massive problemcausing $32K out of my pocket.   I m demanding refund because you didnt fix my truck I now had to buy new injectors. So what you did to this unit needs to be redone. Yes I towed my truck because you were ripping me off. So admit that your firm screwed up by demanding money before work was done completely so I could have demanded the whole entire bill from [redacted].Revdex.com:

Boston Truck Center is accepting NO responsibility for this at all. The lower end damage of the engine could not have been caused by cranking the engine unless it had no oil in it, the engine was full of oil when it arrived at our location. So regardless of how much it was cranked it would not have caused damage to the engine, Injectors were failed, we had to fix the injector problem and get the engine running to find out that there was lower end damage, we had no way of knowing there was lower end damage to the engine when the unit arrived. The engine needed to be overhauled when it arrived unfortunately again there is no way of us knowing that the engine was failed until we got the engine running. The engine needed new injectors regardless, They were failed due to the contaminated fuel. DD series injectors will fail fast with contaminated fuel. We were willing to adjust the price of the overhaul if the customer had us perform the repair to help him out, it was the customers decision to have the unit towed all the way to California to have the repairs completed. Customer is asking for reimbursement on injectors that had to be replaced regardless. Again there is no fault on our end, we apologize that the customer does not understand fully what happened to his engine.
