Boston Joe's Appliance Repair, Inc. Reviews (6)

I had several problems with my range, dish washer, fridge and washing machine so I called Boston Joe's Appliance. They provided fast reliable service at a great price. It has been a while since they worked on my appliances and everything is still working as the day they repaired everything. I highly recommend them for their great service!

Boston Joe's was called by the manufacturer of our AC unit to repair it. They came to our home, informed us it was something they had to fix in their shop and would call us when it was done. that was 30 days ago. Not only did they never contact us once to advise us of backordered parts or how the repair was going, they made no efforts to attain the part any earlier by reaching out to the manufacturer. We had to call the manufacturer to attain the part and have it overnighted to Boston Joe's. They never contacted us when they received it, installed it or that they had not finished the repair. Every time we called, we got a different story as to why it wasn't done and the same old line it'll be ready in a few days, we'll call when it's done. We ended up just going to pick it up and take it somewhere else rather than wait another month for it to be fixed. Their attitudes are terrible, no one there knows what is going on and you'll be told a different story each time you call. Please, don't go through what we've gone through for the past month and still not have a working air conditioner. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone.

Review: The dryer repairman snapped the gas line from the dryer to the wall while pushing the dryer into place. He told me that I could easily find this part and replace it myself using plumber's tape to prevent leaks. I went to the repair shop with the gas line to complain that I feel uncomfortable working with gas lines. The owner told me that he "would take care of me" After a few days the same repairman came out and replaced the line charging $30 for the line and $40 for the installation. He assured me that there was no leak and that he had checked it. Later that day, I smelled an odor of natural gas. [redacted] sent a person out to check the line. There was a leak on the flex-connector fitting on the flare nut. I was unhappy that I was charged for the installation fee because the line had been snapped by the repairman. I can understand that the line was old and brittle but expected a professional to just take more care than a weekend handiman. I certainly expected that anyone installing any gas lines should make absolutely certain there is no leak before leaving the house and that the owner of the business should have either sent out a competent person or told me to call [redacted] to do the job. I want the owner to refund me that $40 installation fee.Desired Settlement: The $40 installation fee returned.

Boston joe appliance is the greatest appliance company I have ever used! Reasonable prices! All of the technicians were very knowledgeable and always have a smile on their face! I will be recommending them to all of my friends!

We hired Boston Joes when the water dispenser on our fridge stopped working. The tech defrosted the line and the water worked. He said if it froze again we may need a new door -- quoting about $500. He left, I went to work. That night I went to use the ice dispenser for the first time since the repair and the flap that controls the ice fell out. The water worked but the ice was now broken. I called the next day and asked them to come back out to take a look. They said they could come in four days and denied the tech did anything to cause the flap to fall out. I drove to the shop to show the part that was in the refrigerator door was not in my hand. Still denied it was anything they did, but they could sell me a new part and charge me to come out and put it in. I told them I was going to cancel the check. The conversation ended with the man telling me "I don't give a [redacted] what you do." In front of my 5-year-old son.
