The complaint ID is: *** The company is: Boston Orthopedic & Respiratory Equipment LLC The complaint was closed prior to me seeing a response from the company. Having now seen it, it is clearly not satisfactory: - they claim to have provided me with a detailed receipt: they have not - I still do not know what the issue or repair was - they claim that the labour was guaranteed for days and that I was informed of this: it was not - on the contrary they told me there was no guaranteeAs set out in my initial complaint, they had already performed a repair of the scooter less than days previously, but refused to guarantee that work and charged me a further $to look at it further. - they still have the key for my scooter which they have not returned - the complaint cannot be resolved while they still retain it That is aside from the clear misrepresentation of facts contained in their responseThey did not deal with my scooter on a busy Friday: they took it in house for nearly a weekThe reason for taking it in house was to see if a new part was needed: they never discussed my finances with me about paying for a new partOf course I would have paid for one, rather than risk the scooter breaking down every few weeksThey subsequently denied that one was needed in any event. FYI, I am currently home in Ireland and my access to the internet is not always easyPlease excuse any delay in my part in my responses. Regards,

Client had rented a mobility scooter and a ramp. Scooter was fully operational and client was instructed to charge it daily. He took the scooter to Cape Cod on Friday. Called the answering service Sunday morning demanding service or the exchange. Client was outside the service area after hours...

however was offered an exchange of batteries withing the demographic area or exchange of the unit in case he was willing to bring the unit to Boston. He claimed that it was too far. Client did not purchase rental/replacement insurance during the time of the transaction covering emergency replacements. Client was still offered a store credit.
