Boston Uphostery & Design Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Drew M***'s response was an inadequate response to my complaint as he has a very poor and very inaccurate memory of the events that transpired I have cell phone records and visual text messages to prove that Drew M*** was contacted a minimum of times in alone I also contact him several times in to ask him to finish the job but do not have those cell records readily - I will retrieve them from my cell phone carrier should this issue need to be escalated.10/**/- Initial contact from Husband to Drew to follow up with him to finish the contracted job (he did not install gutters which we paid for) WE had to follow up with him a couple of times to get him to put in gutters.2/**/- I contact Drew to complain about rodents in our attic and ask him to seal up holes he left He responds that he's "trying to get aluminum pieces to me" - he never attempted to make an appointment to get these pieces to me and I'm home every single day so not sure where the roadblock is for him to finish the job that was started months ago Ask him when he can come by to finish the job - no response.2/**/- I follow up w Drew to see when he can come over to seal the hole - "I'll be there when I get back" is his response No further details given.2/**/- Both my husband and I contact Drew separately to complain about rodents in our attic due to hole he left, and water dripping into our kitchen due to leak near skylight that Drew installed for us My husband sends him photos of resulting water damage to our ceiling Drew immediately responds and comes over to temporarily fix the situation by plugging the leak with silicone Advises us that a more permanent fix is necessary by soldering the leak and he will do this when the weather is dry He fixes the holes left near attic.2/25/- Drew contacts me and my husband to see if leak stops I tell him that it seems to temporarily have stopped He asks me if we want him to solder the leak, I say "Yes" and he never responds with any sort of follow up/appointment information.3/12/- I contact Drew to ask him when he can fix the situation I tell him I want it fixed ASAP as we are afraid of another leak No response.3/**/- I contact Drew later that same day (hours later) to see if he got my message No response.3/**/- I tell Drew, "I'd appreciate a response Drew...Can you advise to our skylight ASAP?" He immediately responds, "I don't deserve the attitude I will come inside of your skylight for you but you know it's not my fault." I respond, "I'm sorry you think I'm showing you attitude, but I think I've been more than patient with you This job was supposed to be "done" in October and we were months in when we started to have animals and a leak - and you have ignored all of my friendly attempts to contact you in the last week so yes, I'm getting impatient now And whether or not the skylight is your fault, it's your job as my roofer to make sure my roof isn't leaking and we did not have this problem before the job And because I'm not a roofer, I have no way of knowing if it's your fault or not, so I'm taking your word for the time being WE are around all week so let me know what day works for you." No response from Drew.3/**/- Husband contacted Drew to ask when he could finish the skylight job - Drew responds, "Soon."3/**/- I contact Drew and ask him if there's any day that he can come by the following week to fix the skylight - I advise him of my availability and ask that he let us know when he is available He responds, "OK I will" but offers no further information about his availability or intentions to come finish the job.3/**/- I contact Drew and tell him I haven't heard from him and need to know when he will come by to fix the skylight He responds saying he was headed West the last few weeks and will take care of my skylight as soon as he heads East No further details given as to timing or what he even means by "Headed West" and "Headed East" - on Long Island, or traveling across country? Not sure.4/*/- I contact Drew and tell him I need the skylight taken care of now I tell him I understand he is busy but I just want to put the issue behind me and get it over with I tell him I'm afraid of my kitchen flooding with spring rains I ask him to give me a date when he can come over No response.4/*/- I contact Revdex.com after not hearing from Drew for hours since my last attempt to contact him to file a formal complaint My skylight remains unfixed We still have rodents in our attic due to the hole that took him months to seal.Additionally, my husband and I had a general contractor come over to look at Drew's roofing job Our contractor - who has done many professional roofing jobs in the past - advised us that when Drew put in the new roof, there were nails going through the copper flashing around the skylight, which is not proper installation procedure. As for Drew's claim that he told us that he would come over when the weather was nicer, we do not recall any such statement That being said, we had a record breakingly warm winter and early spring, some days in which the temperatures hovered in the mid/high 70's, so I'm not quite sure where the problem was with weather being an impediment Further, when you have a hole in your roof that is causing leaks and rodents, it is the professional's job to take care of the problem in a timely manner regardless of the season or weather outside At that point, we had paid in full as soon as the job was done, so there was no roadblock on our end To that end, I am a stay at home mom and I am home with my young daughter pretty much all day, every day, so I could have accommodated Drew to my home essentially any time that he was available to come by.As evidenced by Drew's formal response to my complaint, this is someone who does not take any responsibility for incomplete/incorrect jobs done, he has repeatedly and chronically delayed completing the project, usually does not even respond to attempts to contact him, and when he does, offers little to no detail as to when he can come by to wrap up the issue It is very clear that we are not a priority at all for Drew - once he got his money from us, he was essentially "done", regardless of the fact that I am having water damage to my ceiling, leaks in my kitchen, and rodents all over my house that did not exist before his job His job and attitude are wholly unsatisfactory and I never experienced any contractor giving us such poor customer service Drew's prices are very low, but as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." Next time I will go with a more reputable contractor, regardless of the price.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above
Sincerely,

time line10-**- job compleat02-** leak02-** did I stop leak03-** when can you fix skylite04-** we no longer need you to fix leakbefore we started the job, there was a alum gable missing from the front of
the house, and after the job was finished you could see there was two pieces of facer(alum) missing At that time I stated that I would replace all missing alum when the weather warmed up.Replaced two pieces of alum that were missing when I was told there were birds trying to get in,sorry don't remember when. The day they told me they had a leak, I was on the roof in the rain , found the hole in the new skylite (that they supplied) and filled with silicone , showed them a picof hole in the flashing of the skylite and told them it should stop the leak but it needs to be soldered when it is dry for a week or so or replaceddid not hear from them for a over a mouth or so if I had stopped the leak or not and if they wanted me to solder the skylite or they wanted to get a new one then got a text to solder the skylite on the *** and then dont on the ***Drew M***
