When we purchased our home in 2014 a *** Refrigerator came with the home. We recently discovered there is a manufacturing defect which is documented online.. The result of the defect is moisture and resulting rust on the back of the refrigerator. Electrolux was sending out a repair kit and paying for the parts and repair. Our technician called them today and was told they have stopped providing the kit and will no longer make the repair.
I now own a $2000 refrigerator that I will have to unplug the ice maker on...the rest of the fridge is usable, but I can no longer operate the ice maker (it has an in the door ice dispenser and operating panel).
I want to alert others to this so no one purchases another Electrolux refrigerator without the knowledge of what they may be getting into. This has affected a number of people as evidenced by online forums.
