4/7/]6RE: Compliant [redacted]The statements supplied to you by Mr. [redacted] are not accurate. Mr. [redacted] had suffered a house fire in 2015, his insurance company, [redacted] Insurance contacted me to prepare an estimate. At that tiroe we met Mr. [redacted] with the [redacted] Adjuster. Beingthat...

we are a preferred vendor for [redacted] Insurance he decided to also have us handle the repairs.Mr. [redacted] stated in the beginning that he would like another contractor to handle the replacement of the windows and all the flooring. We agreed and provided the estimates from his contractor to [redacted] Insurance. They were added to the final repair estimate.During our time onsite Mr. [redacted]'s contractor was in and out of the home to measure. At one time during the cleaning process his contractor visited the home and made comments to [redacted] (the mitigation company cleaning the home) that they weredoing a great job and that he was looking forward to completing ALL the repairs. This comment raised questions with [redacted] because they knew I was the doing the majority of the work I contacted Mr. [redacted] about that and he asked me to contact [redacted] from [redacted] and "set him straight" I did and he was very upset that he was not the sole contractor to be doing the repairs. We moved forward with our repairs. We came to a point where we needed the windows installed in order to continue. I contacted Mr. [redacted] and explained that to him and he said the window will be in shortly. 3-4 weeks went by, I stopped periodically to see if the windows were installed. Some were but I was informed by Mr. [redacted] that they werethe wrong color and needed to be re·ordered. More waiting. During that time Mr. [redacted] had contacted [redacted] Insurance. During those conversations with the adjuster [redacted], something happened that prompted a meeting with [redacted], myself, [redacted] from [redacted] Insurance and Mr. [redacted]. During the meeting Mr. [redacted] was very irate towards me and [redacted] Insurance. He clairoed we spilled paint on the subfloor and that was very unprofessional. He also complained about a coffee cup in the yard and claimed a hammer in the snow damaged his snow blower. While we worked there his neighbor kept the driveway and sidewalk cleared, He also claimed that we damaged personal property inside the home. In the 4-6 weeks that we did not work there, Mr. [redacted]! had his other contractor in the home. After Mr. [redacted] finished his irate state, [redacted] from [redacted] Insurance looked at me and asked where we stand. I said with great regret that I think we need to move on from this and both [redacted] and [redacted] agreed. Also at that time both [redacted] and [redacted] advised that before Mr. [redacted] went forward with anY repairs that he must submit estimates for approval which he did not. They also told Mr. [redacted] that [redacted] Insurance would NOT take the comments made about Joseph J Scofero and Son Builders, Inc seriously because of a 35+ year stellar relationship. Also during the meeting [redacted] Insurance asked if the windows were ready for install. Mr. [redacted] stated that the companies building them were back ordered due to a government contract. After a few more months [redacted] Insurance again asked him about the windows and this time the truck delivering them crashed and all the windows were destroyed. Same with the carpet. Once delivered the carpet was stained and needed to be returned and re-ordered.  As for the personal property, from day one we asked Mr. [redacted] to locate anything of value to a safe location. He never did. We did not occupy the home 24/7. We were away from the home for 4-6 weeks. Mr. [redacted] had other contractors in the home. We did not damage his property. We are 61 years strong this year. We have been an accreted member of the Revdex.com a long time, more than I can remember. This is the first time a complaint has been filed in 61 years! We have been threatened by Mr. [redacted], and [redacted] from [redacted] Home Improvement to pay them money. We only charged [redacted] Insurance for the work we completed. We have the paperwork to prove it. We owe Mr. [redacted] nothing! We lost money by not completing the project and his actions prevented us from doing so. Respectfully submitted,Joseph J Scofero
