I recommended this company to a friend as I used them last year and they did a great job My friend's move was another story They were scheduled to move a small bedroom apt to a new location expected time 12:30pm They called and said they were behind and showed up at 3:15pm looking lethargic and extremely tired stating they had just finished a hour move The movers stated they had run out of plastic wrap for the furnishings and proceeded to move belongings down the stairs unprotected When we questioned why the furnishings weren't wrapped the younger mover stated they didn't have any and if we wanted things wrapped we needed to call the office so they could bring some over We called the office and spoke to Trish which was a huge mistake because she was full of excuses and wouldn't let me speak out my frustration It took the movers minutes to get a dresser down one flight of stairs because they didn't know how to make the turn in the middle of the staircase Trying to vent out my frustrations over the phone she interrupted me again and stated that in the time that I was talking to her on the phone she could be making the trip to the apt to bring the wrap When she arrived she asked me what was going on and I proceeded to tell her that the movers were extremely tired, moving extremely slowly and it was taking three times the time that it should take to do the move My four bedroom home last year took a total of hours to move out and in...two hours and this team hadn't even moved a small one bedroom apt out Here was Trish's reasons for the delay...Tech was back in school and they were busy, it's hot outside, people called in, the younger mover is new The younger mover even interrupted me when I was talking to Trish stating that they had just finished a hour move and that's why they were tired How does that have anything to do with us? It's me more because of their inefficiencies? Trish even threatened three times to have the movers take everything out of the truck and leave it on the street I never used any foul language or was rude, I was simply venting my frustrations as to why we were unhappy, but the more frustrated I got, the louder Trish got as well When I told her that I worked in customer service all my life she stated that she's not customer service and doesn't work in that dept I told her that her whole business is customer service, but she again said she wasn't I asked for her manager's name and she gave it to me I asked if she was there now and she said no I asked how was I to speak to her, and she said I wasn't listening...he could answer my call but she wasn't there at the office and that calls were forwarded to her I WILL NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THIS BUSINESS AGAIN You do get what you pay for Please, please, please, pay a little more and get the service you deserve By the way, the taller, older mover was nothing but respectful and professional, it was the younger mover that was the reason that started this entire complaint process

Awesome moving company!!! They moved me last Friday and the weather was beyond terrible. Cold and rainy, I did not hear one complaint from these men who worked efficiently all day. They even help me pack the loose items I had not packed. The men were polite and courteous. Best movers I could have asked for. I would highly recommend Affordable Moving.
