could have simply not paid the disputed amount, called the office to question the charge or simply not paid the bill. We do not charge any truck fees , fuel fee's. Just time. The move took two hours and we charge for travel time to come back to [redacted]. This customer did not dispute the charge till days after the move was over at which time I asked the movers if the charge was correct and they said that it was and they explained to her and it was correct with the travel time back to [redacted] with traffic. The entire apartment move cost less than $345. Hardly an exorbitant charge by any companies standard. When I talked to her on the phone I explained to her that because she had waited so long to dispute the charge it was simply a case of what my movers remembered from that day verses what she now says. The statement that because they were big guys and therefore she felt she had no choice but to pay is ridiculous. Two of the movers are husbands with young daughters and are always nice and polite to all the customers and she has said nothing to dispute that. If she thought the charge was off all she had to do was point this out to the movers or simply not pay. I challenge her to call another company and ask for their prices. Most charge $120 for two men , truck fee, fuel fee, travel from office. We charge $120 for three men flat and as she says the movers were fast and efficient. I wish I could go back in time on the day of the move and sort the confusion out for her but she never called till days after the move and so I relied on what the movers told me. Most people are so happy with how reasonable our rates are that they always tip the movers because of the money they have saved. So [redacted] I ask you. If you thought the charge was so obviously wrong why did you pay it? It would have been much simpler to sort that out at that time correct? Many times people are rushed and stressed and they don't account for when the movers arrived or how long it takes to drive a moving truck back. I understand that moving is stressful and can be a strain, but it is also a hard job and we do have to charge . You say the job took an hour and 15 minutes. travel time and finding parking from [redacted] to [redacted] is always about 25 min each way in a moving truck. So they loaded and unloaded in only 15 minutes??
