[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: While I believe boulevard service and tire is not a bad shop I don't know why they told me they can fix my truck when every time I take it there I get it back in worst shape then I brought it inAnd I believe a repair shop should repair the vehicle that people pay to get fix , but as of last week my truck wont even make it around the block without dying while I am driving it , so I cant even take it back to there shop to get the diagnose they told me they will do for me, they said in there last email they did repairs to get it running but I want the repairs to have it run longer then a week And taking it back to there repair shop would mean having Mr[redacted] to work on my truck because they told me he is only diesel mechanic who I did not tell to repair my turbo this last time I had him work on my EGR valve who only put half of my $turbo repair kit on without my knowledge and who haves a problem with me$1,for problems that the shop told me will fix my no start hot problem and my turbo smoking problem but it did not help any of those problems , due to me not having my truck is causing me to drive my girlfriend's car to work every day and costing me not to get to work overtime due to me having to drive to her work and picking her up from work If boulevard service and tire was really sympathetic they wouldn't tell me they fixed my truck twice and it keeps breaking downI believe when anyone who takes there vehicle to a repair shop and the repair shop does the work and then charges the person for the work and that person pays it in full that the same problems shouldn't be back in less then a month later isn't right and I was told all the work that was done will fix it for sure and it didn't fix it and telling me that they want to do more work on it is a way to get me to pay more and then must likely will have the same problems after that and so on and so on I like the Revdex.com to look more into this I will even be open too have them come over and look at my truck now because before I took it to boulevard service and tire it ran good and no smoke but it had the no start hot problem and fast ward now I haven't started my truck in a week because there is no point because it wont even make it around the block with out dying and have to wait hour to start it again Regards, [redacted] ***

While I am truly sympathetic to Mr *** frustration with his truck not running properly at this time I have to stand by our earlier positionMr *** brought his truck in March, we made an extensive repair and he was charged appropriately for the repairWhile he did call to state he had a problem a few weeks later he never once brought the vehicle back until it completely quit running all togetherWhen we diagnosed the vehicle in May it was his EGR that had failed this timeThe EGR is a completely different failure than the oil lines that were replaced in MarchMr *** assertion that we would cover the tow to the shop when his truck would not start is something that we have historically done if the reason the vehicle stopped running was our fault, this was not our fault, it was a breakdown of his vehicleAfter repairing the EGR Mr *** did call to state he was having problems with hot starting the truck, we offered on more than one occasion to diagnose the problem and if it was something we had not done properly it would be covered under warrantyTo date Mr *** has not taken us up on the offer, the offer stands. As for the turbo rebuild, as I stated in the first response this was done without m consent and without charging Mr *** for the partial repairWe did not rebuild the turbo, we did install seals that was in attempt to stop the oil leak in the turboA complete rebuild of the turbo would have been an additional 3-dollars as it takes 4-hours of laborAgain I feel bad for Mr *** and his ongoing problems with the truck but we did the repairs that were required to get it running and charged a fair price for them

I am rejecting this response because: I only paid the $1,the first time because they told me this is what was wrong and changing these parts would fix my no start hot problemWhich didn't fix my truck problemThe next time I called the repair shop, they told me that they will not charge me for the tow (which they towed the truck on May 21st) but when I was informed that my truck was done, they told me a $for tow will have to be paid and I have the receipt to prove it. Two days after I got my truck back, my engine light came on and my truck started to smoke worse and my truck still wouldn't start when hotWhen I told the mechanic that my truck still had these problems, he told me "I'm a *** for letting it get that bad." When I paid the repair shop the $1,the first time to get those problems fixed and when I picked up my truck the last time, my old receipt from the first time had been thrown away and the mechanic walked by me and just stared at me, and on 6/I called the repair shop again to tell the boss this which he responded saying yeah, I know about the *** comment" and then he had a guy named *** talk to meAfter telling him the missing turbo kit in my truck he told me "I'll talk to the mechanic about the turbo kit and call you back" but after hours of waiting, I called him back to have the guy who answered the phone tell me that *** had already left for the dayToday (6/3) I called the shop to have a worker tell me that *** would call me back in minutes, that took almost a hour later to have him tell me the mechanic had only put on half of my turbo kit and that he forgot the other half until I told *** about it two weeks laterI don't work at a repair shop but I don't think mechanic's only put on parts half way and forget that he has the other parts on his desk for two weeks

We are sorry to hear Mr [redacted] feels that he has not been treated fairly in the repair of his truck we strive to provide every customer a positive experience. Unfortunately we dont' agree with Mr [redacted]'s version of what has happened to date on his truck. The truck was originally brought down back in...

mid March complaining of not starting. Our assessment was it needed extensive oil line repair work done which is not uncommon for these ford diesel motors. We gave Mr [redacted] an estimate, he approved and we completed the work. When the truck left March 20th  it was in decent running order, no check engine light was on and the truck started consistently. By no means was the truck in perfect shape and we made no illusions to that effect, it still needed more work done. We next heard from Mr [redacted] several weeks later stating his truck didn't want to start but that it did evntually, we said bring it down and let us check it out, he made an appointment but never showed up, this scenario repeated 2 more times over the next couple of weeks. Fast forward to last week Mr [redacted] called to say his truck would not start at all, we advised him to get the truck down here and we would check it out. We did not have the truck towed nor did we at any time tell him we would pick up the tab for this, had we found that our repair had failed we would have taken care of the tow and repaired the truck at no charge, but that was not the case. The truck had a failure inthe EGR, that is part of the emmissions system and is a common failure in this Ford Diesel. We called Mr [redacted] informed him of what was found and he authorized the repair. When we called to let him know it was fixed he felt the repair should have been at no charge. We informed him that this was not something that the we had repaired before and that it is a common failure in this truck and that he would have to pay the bill. He came in and paid the bill and picked up his truck. Mr [redacted] called the shop on 6/2 to inform me the truck was acting up and he was very unhappy, that he felt like we had done him wrong, that he was going to the Action 41 news to investigate our shop etc. These threats don't bother us as we run and honest business and welcome any scrutiny of our policies and practices. I told Mr [redacted] that he was welcome to bring the truck down and let us see what had failed and if it was something we worked on it would of courese be covered. He stated he would take it somewhere else and have it checked over, I told him that was of course his choice and that we would stand behind our work. He did ask me about a turbo repair kit that he said he had purchcased and was for my mechanic to fix his turbo, I was unaware of this and questioned the mechanic that did the work on his truck. My mechanic informed me that he had let Mr [redacted] know that he had a bad oil leak in his turbo that was causing the excessive smoking he was getting and that if he got him the gaskets he would put them in for free. Let me be clear this is NOT our policy to do this type of thing and the mechanic has been repremanded for his action. The rest of the rebuild kit is here at the shop if Mr [redacted] would like to come get it or I can mail it to him. The work performed on the turbo was not charged to him and would have been an additional $240 dollar charge, a complete rebuild if the turbo is quite a bit more as it requires many hours of labor. All this being said, we still would be happy to diagnose the truck for Mr [redacted] or if he choses to take it to some other reputable shop we will still stand behind our repair given the opportunity to correct an issue.

I am rejecting this response because:
While I believe boulevard service and tire is not a bad shop I don't know why they told me they can fix my truck when every time I take it there I get it back in worst shape then I brought it in. And I believe a repair shop should repair the vehicle that people pay to get fix , but as of last week my truck wont even make it around the block without dying while I am driving it , so I cant even take it back to there shop to get the diagnose they told me they will do for me, they said in there last email they did repairs to get it running but I want the repairs to have it run longer then a week . And taking it back to there repair shop would mean having Mr.[redacted] to work on my truck because they told me he is only diesel mechanic  who I did not tell to repair my turbo this last time I had him work on my EGR valve who only put half of my $150 turbo repair kit on without my knowledge and who haves a problem with me. $1,700 for problems that the shop told me will fix my no start hot problem and my turbo smoking  problem but it did not help any of those problems  , due to me not having my truck is causing me to drive my girlfriend's car to work every day and costing me not to get to work overtime due to me having to drive to her work and picking her up from work . If boulevard service and tire was really sympathetic they wouldn't tell me they fixed my truck twice and it keeps breaking down. I believe when anyone who takes there vehicle to a repair shop and the repair shop does the work and then charges the person for the work and that person pays it in full that the same problems shouldn't be back in less then a month later isn't right and I was told all the work that was done will fix it for sure and it didn't fix it and telling me that they want to do more work on it is a way to get me to pay more and then must likely will have the same problems after that and so on and so on .... I like the Revdex.com to look more into this I will even be open too have them come over and look at my truck now because before I took it to boulevard service and tire it ran good and no smoke but it had the no start hot problem and fast ward now I haven't  started my truck in a week because there is no point because it wont even make it around the block with out dying and have to wait 1 hour to start it again .
