Boutique 444

Deducted $ from my account for a hotel stay which has not happened yet.
On 4/13/18 I made a hotel arrangement on Hotels.com with Boutique 444 for May 26 - May 29th. The policy on Hotels.com stated that nothing is due until I check into the hotel. Moments after completing my reservation I received an email from Hotels.com saying my reservation was confirmed. Then a few minutes later I received another email saying my reservation was cancelled. I checked my checking account activity and saw the hotel had charged my account $177.00 not what the Hotels.com policy stated. I called the hotel and asked why my card was charged and was told "it's their policy" which I have yet to see. I let this go because I am travelling and I do need a place to stay so I kept my reservation and he kept the $177 deposit. On 4/26 I noticed a $613.00 charge from the hotel. Again I called them immediately to inquire as I was told by *** that they would only charge the 1 night deposit which they weren't event supposed to charge for until I checked in. I was told by *** the remainder would be due when I checked in. When I talked to *** about the $600 charge on my account he said "it's our policy" which I still have yet to see. I became angry with *** when he kept telling me it was their policy. I asked that he immediately cancel the reservation and refund everything, $177.00 + the $600 he charged me. He eventually told me "***H" and hung up on me. I then called my bank and told them the whole story. The bank then called the hotel, got *** on the line with me on the line and let him know the call would be recorded, he hung up. After that he reversed the charge for the $600 amount but I still have yet to receive the refund for the $177.00. I cancelled my reservation within 30 days so they shouldn't' keep any $$. If you look at their reviews on yelp it looks like they've done this to others. They lure in business on the Hotels.com platform then "accidentally cancel" the reservation so they don't have to abide by the Hotels.com policies.
