October 9, 2017This statement is in response to the notice we received from Revdex.com regarding Bowen Contracting. After reviewing the response from Bowen Contracting the [redacted] Foundation will not settle for$2000. This is unacceptable. Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] were verbally told by both...

[redacted] and [redacted] that we would receive our full refund after the executives for Bowen Contracting made thedecision to cancel the contract. Attached is the documentation stating such from [redacted] Bowen. In response to [redacted]’s statement about the approaching Mr. [redacted]- If Mr. [redacted] had not shown upon the site August 23, 2017 (accompanied by two of his coaches around 2:30pm) Mr. [redacted] wouldhave not known about any additional cost.In response to [redacted]’s statement about additional funds- It was explained to Mr. [redacted] on August 23,2017 by the subcontractor that more money would be needed to repair the roof. At that time a call wasmade to the lead person (their son) at Bowen letting him know that more money was needed to repairthe roof. Mr. [redacted] was then advised by the lead person (their son) at Bowen that an additional$10000 would be needed but he could get it done for $8500. Mr. [redacted] told the lead person (theirson) we could possible do $4500 but not $8500, but he couldn’t give him a definite answer at that timeand told the lead person (their son) he would contact him later that evening which was on August 23,2017.In response to [redacted]’s statement regarding conversation recording- Mr. [redacted] left a message for acall back from the lead person (their son) at Bowen, on August 23, 2017 (as stated above) and not onAugust 25, 2017 as [redacted] mentioned in her statement. Also, the message left was in Lou of the extramoney needed for the roof, which was an additional cost of $8500 (outside the $16,586 in thecontract). In the message Mr. [redacted] stated that we may need to scratch this deal but asked the leadperson (their son) to return the call. Instead of the lead person (their son) returning the call a textmessage was sent instead and stated, “He would no longer be handling the project…” (See copy of textmessage attached- caption [redacted]).In response to [redacted] stating when the crew was at the site- Bowen subcontractors were at the site onThursday, August 24, 2017 not August 25, 2017. On August 24, 2017 one of our board members wholives in the area called Mr. [redacted] and advised him that men were again at the building. Mr. [redacted]arrived on the site and asked the men to come down from the roof because he had spoken with [redacted]Bowen that morning (August 24, 2017 at 6:22am screenshot attached) and was informed that they(Bowen Contracting) made an executive decision stop the project and cancel the contract. In response to [redacted] stating another roofing company was on the site August 25, 2017- there was noother roofing company on site and ready to work on this date. No one was at the site on August 25th noteven Mr. [redacted]. The building sat exposed for several days because the subcontractors removed someof the side wall material before they discovered they couldn’t do the job required. Mr. [redacted] had tocontact another roofing company that eventually showed up on the site several days later.[redacted]O’Fallon, IL 62269[redacted] FOUNDATIONIn response to the intense conversation with [redacted]- [redacted] called Mr. [redacted] at 6:22am on August 24,2017 (screenshot of incoming call attached) and advised both Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] that BowenContracting executives made an executive decision to cancel the contract (response letter attached). When asked by Mr. [redacted] for a refund the conversation intensified. [redacted] stated excuses for returningour deposit. Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] questioned why we would be required to pay for materials orrestocking fees of 25% on the $8293 when the cancellation was done by Bowen. At the end of theconversation [redacted] ended the call with, “You will receive your full refund,” and Mrs. [redacted] respondedthank you and good bye.Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] made it clear to the lead person (their son) at Bowen that a new roof was needed. The lead person (their son) assured Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] that the building would have a new roof thatwould last 100 years. Because Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] were misled by the lead person (their son) fromBowen Contracting, Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] sent an email to [redacted] Bowen asking her to confirm theirconversation that Bowen executives made the decision to cancel the contract on August 24, 2017. [redacted]finally responded with her letter dated August 29, 2017.In response to charges listed- If Bowen Contracting actually paid a subcontractor that is theirresponsibility to cover those charges. Again they (Bowen Contracting) cancelled the contract.Thank you.[redacted]

This email is to inform you that we have received the cashier check from Bowen Contracting on November 15, 2017, in the full amount of $8293. Our case has been resolved with this company.   Thank you for your assistance in this matter.   [redacted]

Hello,   We received the attached letter from Bowen Contracting on Friday November 3, 2017. The letter was not sent certified as her previous letter sent to us was. We did not receive a notification from your office that you had received this or that it was sent-  this is my reason for the email.  I also noticed that [redacted] did not sign this letter, which I found very strange since she has signed all her previous letters. It is the Foundations goal to resolve this matter and if they are willing to refund our monies we will to agree to only to not posting to [redacted] or any other public media as stated in their letter.  We will only sign the letter if the owners of Bowen Contracting will provide a cashier check made payable to the [redacted] Foundation and meet at the Courthouse in Belleville, IL were the letter will be exchanged for the funds.  It would be foolish on our part to sign this document and mail back to them and wait for a refund we very well might not get.   I would like to have this document uploaded to the system.   Thank you.

The attached letter has been sent certified mail to [redacted] and Bowen Contracting. The letter was sent to the company address, [redacted]’s home address in Fairview Heights, IL  and [redacted]’s home address in Belleville, IL.   Certified mail receipts also attached.   Please upload this document to our complaint file.   Thank you.
