We are contacting the customer and will try to resolve the issue to their satisfaction

We did a kitchen remodel for them in there Wausau Home. The customer made a request that we remove the beams. This was not a part of the original scope of work that we were doing for them. That required a change order. The General Contractor [redacted] had a conversation with the homeowners about this change they wanted. He informed them that we did not build this home and there fore could not know what could happen once the beams were removed. The beams covered where the 2 pieces of house were put together. They understood and agreed to this change order to take the beam down patch any holes and paint the ceiling. They were very happy with the result. When the first heavy snow came the house shifted and popped the seam. That beam was obviously there to hide any separation that might occur due to the house settling. We dont see how this is our fault we did what the customer wanted us to do!  We are willing to go back and repair or put the beam back up. This will be another change order and will cost the homeowner for labor and materials.  We also had attitude problems with Mr. [redacted] he was on the job everyday and berated us and our subcontractors to the point that we dont want to go back there and do the job, but we will to make the customer happy, but we will not put up with Mr. [redacted]'s rude remarks.                                                                                                                                                                               Office Manager[redacted] Design and Construction[redacted] Restoration Group, LLC DBA: Rainbow Intl. of Racine-KenoshaOffice: ###-###-#### - ###-###-####    Fax: ###-###-####

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of...

the offer I reviewed appear below.
First off I made a specific list of what I all wanted done and went over the list with [redacted]. [redacted] entered the picture after the job began. The only thing they did that was not included in the original quote was to paint a 6x6 wall above our steps. I only requested 1 beam be removed/moved because I had them install a new ceiling fan. They asked me if they could remove the other beams to make the cabinets easier for them to install, which I agreed to. I was never told removing the beams would result in cracks, in fact it was just the opposite. I was told they were cosmetic only! I put $200,000 into remodeling this home, it was neither a small, cheap or quick ordeal. The worst of the cracks is where they installed the power lines for the fan. This was most definitely due to poor drywall repair.[redacted] has lied through his teeth about this process from the beginning. I do not believe I can do business with him. My husband's attitude had everything to do with this. I would like to save others from getting involved with a company that is not trust worthy.
Regards,
