Car broke down within 30 minutes of leaving the dealership. Owners refuse to communicate after promising to fix the check engine problem.
On 2/21/2020, I purchased a car from Keith who works for Bower's Used Cars of Lancaster. Upon arrival, the car was not the year that was advertised (2010-Advertised; 2008- Actual). The car was advertised as having 150,000 miles but actually had over 157,000. After they explained that there was an error in advertising, they continued to assure that the car was still in great condition. After purchasing and leaving the dealership, the car broke down within 30 minutes. The check engine light was off while test driving but started blinking and the engine was running rough before I could make it home. I reached out to Tyler who advertised the vehicle and he advised I call Cody. I explained that the car was not running safely and I not only couldn't drive it but I couldnt get it inspected either. He apologized and asked that I bring the car to his dealership (Monday 2/24/2020) and they would fix the issues that caused the engine light. I returned with the vehicle as agreed and Keith apologized and said they would make sure the issue was fixed. Cody then brought the vehicle back to me and charged me $46 for the part his mechanic needed to repair the vehicle (Coil). The next day, I cranked the car to drive it to the inspection station and the check engine light came on and the car was still running poorly. I told Cody immediately and he said he and his mechanic would pick the car up the next day and make sure it was truly fixed this time. Cody did not show up, call, respond to text messages or accept calls regarding the situation. I finally received a text response from Cody on 2/27/2020 that explained that he was sorry but was very busy and that he would call in a few minutes. I still haven't heard from Cody, Tyler, Keith or anyone from the dealership and have no transportation to make it to work each day. I need this car to be fixed or the money returned. I trusted Cody and believed he would keep his word but he is not communicating and I need someone to stand by their promise.

Desired Outcome

I would like for the dealership to repair the vehicle like they promised or refund the money so I can buy a safe and reliable car.

We are working with the customer now repairing the vehicle and trying to make the situation right for the customer

Purchased a vehicle from them on 9/27/19 and to this day, I haven't received a title for the vehicle. They claim they dont have the title for the car.
On 9/27/19, I purchased a vehicle from this car lot, and when I purchased the vehicle, they gave me a 45 day drive off plate, and they informed me that I would have the title within 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks were up, and I didnt have a title for the car, then they proceeded to tell me, they didnt have the title for the vehicle yet.
I was patient and called them often to check and see if there was an update for the title, if they have gotten it yet, and I always got the same response.. "we dont have the title yet, call back in a few days." After the first tag expired, and I told them I was no longer able to drive the vehicle, they sent me another 45 day tag, which expires on 12/16/19. it has been alot 90 days since I purchased the vehicle, and from what im aware of , they have 30 days to get me a title for the vehicle after purchase. Today when I called them, they didnt answer my calls, so I called from another number to see if they were ducking my calls and it seems so. I told them on 12/3/19 that I would be taking this to the DMV and getting a lawyer and they told me " do what you gotta do.", and then proceeded to hang up on me.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to give me the title for the vehicle that i paid cash money for.

Let me first start off by saying The customer has all the right to be upset. With that said me and two other guys at the car lot have been calling the NC DMV every day since this became a late title issue. Unfortunately this title situation has been a tough one. We will 100 percent without a shout of a doubt be able to provide Mr. with a title for the vehicle he purchased from us it will just be late. We are busting out butts on this situation and hate it as bad as he does. Unfortunately the department of motor vehicles has us bent over at the moment. There isn't any fraud intended on this situation at all!!! I hope we can resolve this within a couple of days and gladly get a title to the customer and we won't stop until we make this happen !!
