bowlmor strike

I was at this location with my son. On national bowling day they let everyone have one tree game. Upon arrival they asked how many and I said 2 and was told it would be $13 for the two pairs of shoes. From experience I know that my son rarely wears shoes so I went to check if he had worn shoes when he came for camp 2 weeks prior. He said of course not (he's on the spectrum and rarely will deal with changes). I went back and told them that we would only need the one pair of shoes and off we went (we were the only ones there so she knew there were two of us). After 5 frames it cut us off. After inquiring at the desk they said it was only a free game if you paid the greater than $6 charge. I explained the situation and even said that he had done it at camp. The manager said it was fine for camp but not for everyday folks because of safety. After asking how it was safe enough for a group at camp and not a kid with a mother, the managers response was just that it was policy. Pretty sure that policy has to do with money and not safety as my son was never putting on the shoes regardless. I urge others to not fall for their promotions!
