with Bowman was only one sided
We would call in and
express our concerns and were told someone would call or come by but
we were never called back (details of my phone records show no
incoming calls from Bowman) and if someone came by we were not told
in advance so we could discuss options on getting this problem
resolved
We expected some
common courtesy of having a phone call returned
They had time to
come by and take pictures once a complaint was filed but never had
the time to contact us directly to see what solutions could resolve
the issue
They did not tell us
only a portion of the walkway would be treated with the test product
They did not give us a price quote for putting the test product on
the rest of the walkway as requested in our last response(again
communication issue)
This whole problem
has been due to a lack of communication
It is obvious from
Bowman's latest response that they do not want to discuss any options
other than fixing the washout that occurred and leaving the walkway
two different colors
Bowman's responses
do not apologize for the issues we are having and don't express a
desire to resolve this issue amicablyThe tone of their responses
is defensive instead of cooperative
We are done dealing

Our issue remains unresolved and we will seek
other means to get this problem fixed

rejecting this response because:
The retaining wall referred to in Bowman's response was built by Bowman and if there was a potential for wash out concerns then Bowman should have advised us of this in the design phase and we could have worked with them to redesign the landscape so we would not have this issue. We were depending on this company's expertise to inform us of any potential issues because we are not landscape architects. We assumed Bowman to be a reputable company that would inform it's consumers of potential issues especially since they knew this was a cut down lot with "storm water run off" issues.
The flow of water is not coming over the wall but is coming through the weep holes in the wall as designed by Bowman. We did not notice this until a heavy rainfall & we saw the excess rain was coming through the wall and not over it causing the washout to occur the entire length of the walkway.
When Bowman proposed using the "test product", they did not inform us they were going to only use it on a portion of the walkway. When my husband talked to the foreman who was applying the "test product" he was told we would have to contact the office to find out when they could apply it to the remainder of the walkway.
We have contacted Bowman numerous times by phone and no one would respond to our calls. If they came by the house, we we never told and none of our calls were ever returned. If they had communicated with us we probably would not be at this point in our complaint.
Bowman's letter is the first indication we have received that they want us to pay additional funds to repair the problem. We have paid over $20,000 for the landscape they did and we paid promptly. If they want additional funds to fix this issue then I need to know exactly how much as we are on a fixed income.
