Review: We contracted with Boxmydorm to move my son [redacted]'s furniture from his frat house in May, store it for the summer and deliver it back INTO his apartment in August. We arranged a date of

August **, 2014 to have the furniture and boxes moved back INTO his apartment. The truck driver called us to come downstairs and we met him. He was alone and was lowering the furniture off the truck onto the side walk, a few houses away from the apartment. He said he is not a mover and refused to move the furniture into the apartment. He called his supervisor and I spoke to him. He told me he was supposed to move it upstairs. He never did.

Then, when we looked at the furniture, his mattress and box spring were missing, nothing was covered by a moving blanket and 3 pieces of furniture were damaged. A leg of the coffee table was broken off, the tall dresser had a hole in the back and the desk was scratched up. When I called boxmydorm at ###-###-####, there is an outgoing message without any ability to leave a message. There were many emails going back and forth. I was told by [redacted] that he would call me when he was done with the U Penn move in. That was on Aug [redacted]. He still has not gotten back to me. I have sent numerous emails, provided them with pictures and have the estimate of the furniture repair the asked for. No one has answered me as to where to send it or as to what they will compensate us for not completing the move.

I have been patient but this is ridiculous. I contracted movers because my son and I recently had shoulder surgery. We are not physically able to move furniture and had to.Desired Settlement: I would like them to look at the estimate and agree on a number. The estimate came to $1,164.32. We were charged $49 twice on July [redacted] and $1032 in May. I want $750 returned to my Master Card.

Review: I am a college student, and this past May, I sent my belongings to Box My Dorm. However, this particular location is in Philadelphia but it's all the same company. My items returned to me today, August [redacted] 2013. And in one of my boxes that clearly reads "FRAGILE - HANDLE WITH CARE" all over it, my brand new Apple iMac and microwave both came back severely damaged. The business state that because I didnt use any of their boxes, they are not liable for any damages, but I feel as though that is both unfair and insane. They charge ridiculous prices for their boxes, as well as their services. I had to pay $72 just to get my belongings back from them. When my belongings were sent to them, all the boxes were in good condition. The computer and microwave were very-well protected and padded inside of the box but it looked as though the padding had been tampered with. The box that contained the damaged items returned to me in very poor condition as if my items were destroyed intentionally. I'm going to cancel my account, and never do business with this company again.Desired Settlement: I would like my Apple iMac computer to be replaced or a cash/check payment to purchase a new one myself, and to terminate any association I have with them.

D. Insurance does not cover damage or loss to the following types of items:

1. cash or any other monetary item,

2. jewelry,

3. fragile items,

4. storage containers,

5. unpacked items, or

6. items whose primary value is sentimental or personal.

E. Insurance does not cover damage or loss

1. existing prior to Pickup,

2. caused after Delivery,

3. for which there is no visible evidence of physical damage,

4. arising during normal handling or transportation,

5. caused by inadequate packing,

6. caused by forces outside of BMD's control, or

7. caused by including in Parcels any item on the restricted list in Section 4.

Review: The company has a telephone number listed on their website that does not work. I was only able to communicate with one person via email and when I asked to speak with someone else hire up he would not provide me with another person. There is a disagreement in the understanding of the services requested vs the services that were provided. I would like to speak with someone or see a more detailed description written out of the service agreement and all charges associated with said agreement.Desired Settlement: I would like to speak with someone on the phone to get a better understanding of where the misunderstanding took place as well as be credited for any services that were not completed.

Review: They picked up my boxes to store them and now I can't get ahold of them to deliver the boxes from storage as their website is down and their phone number is disconnected. I have no way of contacting them whatsoever to even schedule a delivery.Desired Settlement: Desired outcome is to first and foremost get in contact with the company so I can hopefully get this resolved BUT if there is a problem the priority becomes having them deliver my boxes (finish the job)

I'm not sure why the customer has chosen to email the Revdex.com instead of us to schedule the return delivery... We offer prompt email support to customer inquiries but haven't even been contacted. Yes, true we do not have a phone contact number but that doesn't mean we're not offering excellent customer service. We're the customer now via email to schedule their return delivery.

I have received further response from the business' customer service in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
