Mr. [redacted] filed a complaint against my business and I am responding to this unfortunate attempt to sabotage my reputation. We entered into an agreement to provide service to the ***s to remove an existing retaining wall and 17 steps all constructed of wood timbers and nails and steel rebar.In... addition to which Mr. [redacted] failed to list are the entire existing patio and the existing sidewalk that was buried beneath the soil. This project was far more complex than just a simple wall, I keep impeccable pictorial evidence of every step made on this project. Yes I did estimate that it would take 65 days to complete but with weather being a serious factor this spring with heavy rain there were constant delays in being able to excavate the work area. The ***s were fully aware of the conditions that existed. I find it disappointing that this was not mentioned in the complaint. There were more than 3 people working on this project and there was absolutely never a person or me sleeping at any time. At the time of us being banned from the property, there was a full patio and walkway installed, I have the pictures to show that also. There were several pieces of excavating equipment being used on the property and Mr. [redacted] knows that but again he has chosen to omit this fact from his complaint.Mr. [redacted] alleges that I went on a vacation and that is false! He was notified that I had to leave for an emergency in Arkansas and he even thanked me for the update and said good luck and see you when you get back. I have all of our text communications on file with my attorneys. As a business owner I have not had a vacation in 4 years. The ***s were asked to make the second payment due on the contractually agreed terms on which they failed to do so. Our repeated attempts to collect were ignored until I personally asked Mrs. [redacted] in the driveway to please make payment and she said she would have the payment ready the following day. That same evening I received a text message from Mr. [redacted] telling me to not come onto the property. Mr. [redacted] took my tools into his home, and locked them in his basement. I had to have a police officer go to the home and the equipment was discovered. Mr. [redacted] was repeatedly asked for the return of the equipment and he stated it had been removed from the property. Yet the police recovered it in the basement? Yes there is a police report. Finally the allegation that my work was poor in quality is quite frankly the biggest lie that Mr. [redacted] has told out of the whole group of lies. He called supposed professionals over to give him estimates to totally re do the project. These totals are fabricated in an attempt to discredit my business in any way possible. If there was a concern in quality, why were they ok with the patio and walk after I had it installed? The complaint in workmanship only occurred after I was banned from the property. Mr. [redacted] is in total breach of contract and he knows it. I find it appalling that he chose to be dishonest about the situation. I have voicemails from Mrs. [redacted] stating that they were going to do things unimaginable to damage me but I had no Idea what that meant until reading this complaint. As a proud business owner I value every amount of work that I get. Being so small of an operation I do not have the opportunity to grow like I want to but I try. I am not disrespectful or criminal to customers. As a business owner and operator I also know my rights in protecting the reputation of this business. If in any way the report that appears online damages me, there will be repercussions. This is why I am writing you in regards to this report. I realize that people can make mistakes in what they say so I want to give Mr. [redacted] a fair opportunity to retract his statements. I operate a very friendly business, in fact I go to every length to make my valued clients happy. I will not however let this outrageous tactic exist. I am hopeful that you the BBB will find a way to support me as a business.

Much of what MrB*** alleges in his response to the complaint made to the Revdex.com is simply untrue. He mentioned in his response that the existing sidewalk and patio wereburied beneath soil and thus the project was far more complex than he anticipated, but he lists removal of the existing brick as a part of his bid (attached). Neither the sidewalk nor the patio were ever buried beneath soil and to state otherwise is a complete fabrication. MrBoyd also alleges that he completed the sidewalk and patio. Neither of these items were completed. Accent brick were not installed nor edging installed. I have attached pictures of the current state of the sidewalk and patio and invite visible inspection of the same. What was installed was of such poor quality that other contractors whom are bidding to complete the work stated that what MrBoyce installed must be removed and the project started from scratch. The sidewalk and patio are uneven and MrB*** did not follow the recommended layout of the pavers and as such, there are long joint lines that are not recommended (see pictures). Several contractors even went so far as to apologize to us on behalf of the poor workmanshipstating that they were sorry we had to go through this process. We have had many contractors in our home with very good results, this being the lone problem. I have no agenda other than to get our money refunded so we can complete the project with a more reputable contractor

Review: Len B[redacted] was hired to tear down an existing retaining wall, to replace it with a stone wall and to install stone steps and a stone patio. The price was just a bit over $20,000 and we paid him half up front. The project was to be completed in 60 days. After 90 days, all he had accomplished was the tearing down of the wall and part of the walkway installed. Len initially had a crew of three to work with, but soon after starting only he showed up. He had little heavy equipment necessary to complete the work, using a rototiller to dig up for the sidewalk. He would show up late and leave early and we found him many times in his truck either sleeping or on the phone. We had several meetings with him and he always had an excuse, including one week in the middle of the project when he left for vacation. I do not know a landscape contractor that goes on vacation in the spring. The work that he completed was poor quality. Two independent contractors came to inspect his work, labeled it poor quality and told us that the project had to be completely redone and started from scratch. Due to poor quality, lateness and failure to adhere to the signed contract, he was in default and asked to gather his tools and leave. One month later, several of his tools are still in our backyard. We are told that is will take $30,000 to redo the damage he did plus compete the work.Desired Settlement: We would like our deposit back so that we can complete the work with another contractor. Our backyard is total mess.
