Revdex.com:when [redacted] checked my car around of May of 2014 the check engine light stayed on and was still on when I took it into [redacted] inFeb. the light was still on. When I got my car back in two days the light was back on. I still think bit was a rip off because this was the reason for putting my car in the shop.
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Review: My [redacted] engine service light was illuminated and I wanted to know what was wrong. I took my vehicle to the only "Certified" [redacted] dealer in my area - [redacted] on February 23rd, 2015. The service department ran a their car diagnostic and provided a list of problems that were causing the service engine light to be on. I accepted the professional explanations of the technicians of what was causing my engine service light to be illuminated. I was told everything was pretty much wrong with my car and causing my engine light to be on. I was told I needed to have brakes replaced, brake fluid flushed and refilled, change engine oil, front and rear alignment needed, radiator fluid flushed and refilled, and transmission fluid flushed and refilled. In addition, the Air Mass Flow needed replacing according to the technician. I paid a total of $1101.99 in labor, parts, shop supplies and taxes.

I picked my car up on February 25th, 2015 and drove to [redacted] about 75 miles away. While driving, the engine light came back on. I called [redacted] and took my vehicle back to them for an explanation to the engine light being on. I was now told I needed a catalytic converter. [redacted] erroneously applied services to my vehicle to incur additional charges. I believe [redacted] knew the catalytic converter was bad when they charged me for the Air Flow Mass. The service representative was apologetic but said he could not do anything to assist me and I would have to pay for a catalytic converter and labor which would result in an additional $1000.00 of expenses.

[redacted] failed to provide the requested services and performed unneeded repairs. Revdex.com, please assist me in recouping a portion of my expenses.Desired Settlement: Full Refund for an erroneous/false diagnostic reading - $99.95

Full Refund for erroneous replacement of mass air flow:

Labor - $75.96

Meter - $164.17

Tube - $32.53

Total refund $372.61
