Review: On 27 May 12 my wife and I purchased two pre-production Bozeman Watch Company watches, the B1 Hellcat and the Yellowstone. We paid $9,501.20 in full based on company policy. The sale representative, [redacted] stated, and included on our invoice that the watches should be available for delivery 16 weeks from purchase date, on or about 30 August 2012. To date we have not received our watches. I initiated monthly correspondence starting in December 2012, and finally in June 2013 [redacted], the BWC CEO contacted me and agreed to provide loaner watches until ours were ready. Two watches arrived, but one was inoperative, I immediately informed BWC, [redacted], of the inoperative watch. She directed that I return the piece, which I attempted to do, but the address she provided was not correct and the watch was returned to me. Based on the continued poor customer service, my wife an I decided it best to seek a refund on our initial purchase, since a realistic delivery date could not and would not be provided. I informed Ms, [redacted] of our intent, she responded "I met with Mr. [redacted] regarding your email and comments below, he has agreed that its probably best to move forward with issuing a refund as he is unhappy with the interactions weve had thus far and the comments made below. Please forward the timepieces back the address listed below by COD, we will include a corporate check once we verify our timepieces are still in good working condition (besides the issue you brought up about the Whitefish Cutthroat) . As you know under Montana state law if the check issued is not valid it is considered a felony. We need to verify the condition of the watches before we will be issuing any type of refund." So, I returned the loaner watches, and have not received a refund. On 11 Oct 2013 I received an email from Ms. [redacted] stating that they would not honor a refund and we must continue to wait for our ordered watches. No delivery date provided.Desired Settlement: I'm requesting a full refund of the purchase price for the two watches, $9,501.20.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] ordered a Yellowstone and B1 Hellcat in May 2012, he received special pre-production pricing at that time, when we offer a

pre-production watch it is significantly reduced from the after production

pricing. When a customer purchases a pre-production piece we are only able to

give estimates of timing that we are given from our vendors. Unfortunately, due

to the delays in the market and because of improvements made to the parts, it

is taking much longer than anticipated. We have provided updates to Mr. [redacted] as to the delivery timing as we’ve received back from our vendors. While

we can appreciate their frustration with the delay, we have been forthcoming

with them regarding the delivery.

We did provide them with 2 loaner timepieces and unfortunately Mr. [redacted] had a problem with one of them, when I asked him to send it back so we could take a look at the timepiece to see if there was an actual problem with it, he then requested a refund. Unfortunately we are far too close to the end of the production to actually provide a refund. As promised we will provide him with the timepiece he originally ordered. Mr. [redacted] did sign paperwork that indicates there is a "no refund" policy.

We have responded to Mr. [redacted] each time he has called and felt we’ve given them a viable alternative to

waiting for the timepiece they ordered. We truly feel he will be more than ecstatic with waiting for his timepiece once its been delivered.

Thank you.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I have included a copy of the original purchase agreement and also provide the following.

Review: On March 30, 2012, my wife purchased a [redacted] from the Bozeman Watch Company. The [redacted] was intended to be a surprise gift for me commemorating a special anniversary in August of 2012. Prior to purchasing the [redacted], my wife was informed by a salesman that the [redacted] would not be ready by August, but that it would be ready by November 2012. Based on this information, my wife went ahead with the purchase under the assurance that the delay would not be too extensive, and that it would still be a surprise. However, as November ended, we had not received the timepiece, and contacted the Bozeman Watch Company for an update. After numerous attempts to reach someone in person, we finally received a call back informing us that the [redacted] was now scheduled for delivery in April 2013. Since then, I have contacted the company by both phone and email, and, each time I did so, weeks would pass before any response. Finally, I was informed by the CEO of a problem with a supplier now impacting expected delivery. He told me he really had no idea of when the [redacted] would be produced, and suggested I consider taking a [redacted] on loan in the interim. While I did appreciate his offer, I ultimately felt this further indication the [redacted] we were sold might not ever reach production, so chose to decline the option having lost all confidence in the company's ability to deliver a firm date for delivery. Therefore, I requested a refund via email to the CEO on Oct. 21, 2013, but, to date, have not received any response to that request. Unfortunately, we have come to see this as another sign it is time to pursue other methods for resolving the matter. We are not trying to attack the reputation of the company with the filing of this complaint; rather, we simply feel it the best course forward for us given limited options. Overall, we believe the company has not acted transparently, provided misleading information at the time of sale, and now seek resolution for what effectively appears to be the "pocketing" of $6150.00.Desired Settlement: Refund for the the original purchase price of $6150.00

Think twice before purchasing a watch from the Bozeman Watch Company!

Read the reviews!! http://www.yelp.com/biz/bozeman-watch-company-bozeman

The Revdex.com has given them an "F" rating. (http://www.Revdex.com.org/eastern-washington/business-reviews/watches-dealers/b... They have this rating because they have so many complaints that they will not resolve!

I purchased a watch ($5,500.00) for my husband in Dec 2012. I was told the watch would be delivered in May 2013. Late May I phoned, as I had not gotten any updates or calls confirming delivery. I was told at that time that all they had left to do was put the hands on the face and it would be coming very soon. Again, no return call or watch. From June until Oct. I or my Sons called several times to follow-up, always being told they will check on it and call back. Return calls never happened. In mid Sept we asked for a refund. After many phone calls, my Son did speak with [redacted], "the CEO", and asked for a refund after [redacted] indicated that the watch might be delivered sometime next year (2014)! [redacted] asked that we send him an email with the watch info and he would process the refund. I called in late Oct again asking for a refund as we still had not received it. Again after several calls, I insisted on speaking with [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] denied ever speaking with my son and denied he told him they would refund the payment. He said if I read on the "Doc-u-sign", that all sales are final with no refunds. What the Doc-u-Sign actually states: " Upon execution of payment and Shipment of Product, all sales are final". The product was not sent. I told Mr. [redacted] that customer service and word-of-mouth was important for a luxury retail business and asked if he knew he had an F rating with the Revdex.com. His response was that they were simply a "paper business" and he didn't care what they reported about him.. My Husband and I have purchased several luxury time pieces in the past. Not only were they delivered when they stated, but if for some reason we did not like them, we could return them for a full refund. Bozeman Watch Company will not refund your payment, even if you haven't received the watch!. I wanted to purchase this watch as my husband is from Montana and graduated from MSU...

My advice. When purchasing a top quality Time Piece, go with a known luxury brand that backs their product and offers you customer service that you expect when spending five to ten thousand dollars! Bozeman watch company should be, and I would expect will be, out of business shortly due to their very shady/sketchy business practices.

Review: Ordered a watch in June 2012. The watch was promised in the fall of 2012. They insisted on payment in full. Paid them $4800. The watch was never delivered. My p[hone calls and e-mails have not been answered.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back in full,

Response:

Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] purchased a pre-production timepiece at a highly discounted price. As with any pre-production piece we provide an approximate completion date based on the timing given to us by our vendors. Unfortunately there have been delays from our vendors which of course push out our delivery date. Our staff have spoken to Mr. [redacted] on a few different occasions and expressed this same information and Mr. [redacted] has been less than understanding. As a sign of good faith, Mr. [redacted] was given the option to choose another timepiece that cost a considerable amount more than what he paid, to replace the original timepiece he was waiting for and he quickly turned that down, he said the only option was to get his money back. We believe he has some buyers remorse and this is just an attempt to get his money back even though he signed paperwork that indicates there are no refunds.

Review: I purchased a watch from the Bozeman Watch Company on Dec. 20, 2012. I was told the watch would be ready for delivery in May 2013. After not receiving any word on delivery in May, I phoned and was told it was just being finished and delivery would be within a few weeks. I called again in July, and was told it would not be ready until the summer of 2014. My son called and spoke with the CEO, [redacted] on Sept. 13th and requested a refund. Mr [redacted] asked my son to have me write an email with the watch name and the amount and they would credit my card. As I am in China and was traveling , I filled out the form and sent it in today. I called Mr [redacted] today and asked if he could please just credit my card since the watch was not delivered and he said if I read on the [redacted] agreement that all sells are final and there are no returns. That would be fine if I had the watch... I do not. I do not want to wait another year for the watch.. The bottom of the [redacted] states:Upon Execution of payment and SHIPMENT of product, all sales are final. The watch has not yet been shipped, therefore he should refund the amount.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $5,450.00 for a watch not delivered.

Response:

This is in

response to the claims Ms. [redacted] made against the Bozeman Watch

Company.

Ms. [redacted]

purchased a pre-production watch in December 2012. When she purchased the

timepiece she understood it was a pre-production timepiece. When someone

purchases a pre-production timepiece from us we provide an estimated

delivery date based on information we receive from our vendors.

Ms. [redacted] was

contacted by our staff and provided with updates. Her complaint

indicates she was told delivery was going to be within a few weeks which

is an impossibility.

Ms. [redacted] indicates

her son spoke directly with the owner of the company on September 12th

which is an impossibility as Mr. [redacted] was not in the Bozeman Showroom on

that date and wasn't even in Bozeman, Montana on that date. Mr. [redacted]

indicates he never spoke with [redacted] to ever even offer a refund

and wouldn't have spoken with a third party regarding the purchase.

Mr. [redacted] spoke with

[redacted] on October 16th where she verbally harassed him and was threatening

him when he indicated we could not provide her with a refund as the

timepiece was too far into production and we were going to provide her

with the timepiece she ordered as promised.

Ms. [redacted] then sent

an email to the company administrator indicating Mr. [redacted] approved a

refund and provided an address of where to send the refund to. Our company

administrator was in the same office as Mr. [redacted] when he told Ms.

[redacted] he COULD NOT provide a refund to her. We're not certain why

Ms. [redacted] felt she could lie about the refund and have it just sent out.

We feel this is purely buyer’s

remorse,

she's changed her mind on purchasing a luxury timepiece and is trying to

get out of our "No Refunds" clause, so much so that she is threatening

to defame us in an email she sent. Indicating if we do not

refund her the money she would contact newspapers and online resources

about us. Frankly our staff feels threatened by Ms. [redacted], she contacted

our showroom numerous times within a very short period of time, harassed

the employees about the refund, kept them on the phone while they

were trying to assist customers in our showroom and made them feel very

uncomfortable.

All we would like is to simply provide her with the timepiece she

ordered. We truly do not feel all of the threats and harassment is warranted

and are hoping we can just move past all of this very calmly and professionally.

We know she will be ecstatic with the timepiece when she receives it.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, Bozeman Watch Co. did not provide a resolution. I file the attached documents in response to Bozeman Watch Company's comments to my complaint.

Review: On December 23. 2011, I purchased a "Yellowstone" model man's watch from the Bozeman Watch Company as an anniversary present for my husband. I paid the sum of $4,200 at that time and was told the watch would be available in February of 2012. In February of 2012, I was informed that the watch would be available in May, 2012, in May I was told July, 2012, in July , November 2012, and in November I was told January 2013. In January 2013, no watch was forthcoming. In April of 2013, my husband wrote a letter demanding either the watch or a refund of the monies paid. This was ignored by the company. In July 2013, he visited the Bozeman location again reiterating his request for either the watch or a refund. He was assured by [redacted] that he would be contacted by the owner the following day. Of course that did not happen. Now, 19 months later we have neither the watch nor our money nor any communication from the Bozeman Watch Company.Desired Settlement: A refund of the monies paid.

Review: In December of 2010 at the request of Bozeman Watch's [redacted] I dropped off my watch at the Bozeman location for repair. The company has refused to return the watch, smokejumper #100 and now does not return phone calls or emails to me or my lawyer. I have correspondence from Mr [redacted] admitting they lost the watch and that he would refund or replace.Desired Settlement: I would like the watch refunded plus interest, or approximately $8,000.Thank you

Business

Response:

The claims are not factual and comments made are libelous. The company does not contact clients and request service on their watches, nor did our CEO deal with Mr. [redacted] until he had expired his insults with the staff. Mr. [redacted] purchased a watch in summer of 2006. When he purchased the timepiece there was a 24 month warranty, and this information is also included in all sales paperwork. Our warranty is and has always been a 2 year international warranty which is above industry standard. Mr. [redacted] contacted the company in 2010 indicating he needed his timepiece repaired and that it was in need of services. After doing the requested repairs and services and incurring expenses on Mr. [redacted]'s behalf, he refused to pay for them, claiming our watches "should be warrantied for life." This, of course, is not financially feasible for any luxury timepiece company, nor does any luxury watch company in the world have such a warranty.
