Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I never received either of the items that were claimed to have been sent in the mail in order to cancel my membershipWhen I initially reached out to ATPE and spoke to someone on 12/23, I confirmed that I would be refunded for being charged for the months I was unaware I was even enrolled in ATPEThe direct quote from the email was "Good morning [redacted] , since you were in a rollover district we rolled you over for the 17-year However, I have cancelled your membership as of today and will put in a request for refund with our Accounting department which could take up to a few weeks to cancel In the meantime, please contact your payroll office and ask them to stop your ATPE deductions." At that point I hadn't been charged for the month that I was refunded for, so if I wasn't able to be refunded, I'm not sure why this employee said he put in a refund requestIt is ridiculous that this company is relying on a letter in the mail that I never received to keep charging my credit card for something that I didn't approve of Regards, [redacted]

membership, the post card that was sent to request current contact information, the "Welcome Back" letter which included a membership ID card, as well as the authorization form that was signed and dated by the member. You will notice the verbiage which explains "This authorization is effective until I give notice to the ISD that I want to revoke it".Update Contact Information Card — mailed week of 7/20/2017Welcome Back letter w/ ID card — mailed week of 9/19/2017We were first contacted by the member via email (also attached) on 12/20/2017 requesting cancellation. We responded on 12/23/2017 confirming cancellation and explained that a refund request would be sent to our accounting department. We received one deduction after her request to cancel her membership on 12/22/2017 for $18. We received an email on 2/20/2018 requesting a status of her refund and were then contacted via phone on 2/22/2018. Again, requesting a status of her refund. We confirmed her refund was pending processing and it was finally issued on 3/16/2018 in the amount of $18. Unfortunately, due to the time frame that had lapsed from 8/1/2017 when the policy began. Along with the fact, we have already paid the insurance company for her coverage. We are unable to refund any dues prior to her cancellation. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
