I had visited BP Pantry 1602 E Capital Dr. on 2/28/20 at 6:05pm to purchase gas I had sent my teenage son in with $10 purchase gas. After my son pumped gas wanted more gas, so I gave my son $20 to go purchase my son pumped gas pumped stopped at $9.98 my son goes inside to get change. My son gets in car give me $5, I said where is other $5.02. My son said "this is what he(attendant) gave me $5. So, I take $5 go inside gas station explained to gas station attendant I am pump 4 my son had given you $20 to purchase gas pump stopped on $9.98 when son came to get change money owed you only gave him $5 you owe additional $5.02. The gas station attendant mention yes, your son gave me $20 to purchase $20 gas he came inside to get change, I gave him $5. I said, but you cheated him you owe additional $5.02. So, the gas station attendant said let's go outside speak with your son. We go outside spoke with my son gas station attendant said your son mad purchase first time $10 gave me a $10 all three of us agreed, came back in 2nd time came in made purchase $20 pump stopped at $9.98 I gave your son $5, so my son agreed and gas station attendant. So I pulled out my cell phone calculated showing gas station attendant difference he had owed $5.02. So, he tells me come inside gas station goes behind counter give me $0.02 I said you owe me $5 he said no I will not service you when you come. I asked gas station attendant to run camera, his response with smirk are you going to pay, I said no the owner will run camera to see you cheated my son. The attendant respond no owner is out of state has a lot locations I visit gas station once a week. So, gas station attendant told me I can call police I ask attendant for owner information attendant refuse saying "you going to get me trouble". So, I am filing complaint to receive my $5 refund owed to me. I have never had problem with attendant when I come we have conversations told me about his trip was gone for 2months go back home to India I was very surprise how treat.

I received the complaint about BP Pantry 41 with Complaint ID with ***. From the receipt, it looks like 15 dollars was put on the pump which would have meant five dollars were given as change immediately. Then the other 5.02 was due after pumping. This means her son got the five as change and then got another five once it wouldn’t fit in their tank. This is confusing for the average American, so I understand her being upset. She was asked to email our customer service email which she did not do. I would have explained what happened and refunded her if she was still adamant about it. I am here everyday in the mornings. I don’t know why she said I was out of state. This is also the only business I operate. We have a customer service email clearly posted that has been posted since 2018. I have had this customer before and she always sends her son in to pay for her gas. Everything is shown on the receipt. We have had people try to go to other authorities (local government or health department) because they are angry instead of contacting me. It is not easy running a business especially a gas station but I do my best to make it right. The customer service email has only been used once and it was to praise one of my employees. Many customers who get angry seem to want to hurt us instead of resolving their issue. I put the email up thinking it would get a lot of traffic, but it has not. I have seen people take their anger out on us and come back the next day as if nothing happened. I will contact *** via email. Sincerely

The Revdex.com sent me your complaint. I am sorry about your bad experience. However, I don’t understand why you didn’t send us an email directly. My employee was telling me to expect an email from you. I have been checking for it and then I got the letter from the Revdex.com today.From your receipt, it shows 15 dollars was put on the pump out of 20. I saw on the camera your son walks away and the change was not given. From the camera I can’t tell how much was given to begin with but they were fives. I am still not exactly sure how your receipt shows versus the exchange. For this reason, I am refunding your five dollars and giving you a gift card for all the trouble. I ask that your son and you get your receipt in the future to avoid confusion. I have clerked when your son has come in and he seems like a good kid. When he was younger, I tried to give him a free sucker for coming in for you to pay but he is too old for that so he declined. As for me, I am not out of state. I have been working every morning this past week and some evenings before that. I am very responsive to our customer service email address as well. I also do not own multiple stations. This one I operate with my dad. Let me know when you get this email, so we can arrange a time for you to be refunded. Please only communicate with me, Alicia. I am the only woman working at the station right now, so I am easy to spot. I will be working every morning until the 10th. Otherwise, I can mail the card out to you as well. Sincerely
