I was paid in full for the project and the customer was satisfied when the transaction was completedI was not made aware of any issues with the wall leaning or pushing forward until nowI do guarantee my work if I am made aware of an issue, and would have been happy to correct itI was only aware that the customer did not like the wall and wanted to taken downI will not be responsible for paying for services that another company completed

I constructed two retaining walls for the customer in May-June 2017. The Customer paid me half up front and half once the project was completed. During the construction process he changed his mind multiple times on where he wanted the wall located, the height, and the curvature of the top...

retaining wall. I made every attempt to make sure that he was satisfied and even took down a layer of the wall after it was complete to satisfy the customer before he had paid me the final balance. On July 1st, the customer sent me a text message that I quote "Bryce, we are not liking the top retaining wall and are thinking about removing it. What would you charge us to take the top wall out? Would you be able to return or sell the bricks so that we would get some of our costs back? Just looking for options, let me know."I responded to his text message on July 3rd, staying that I was sorry to hear he was unhappy with the wall, but that the transaction was complete. I did not want to do further business with his customer because of his demands during the first project. I then received a text message on Sept 25th that he had another company complete work on the wall that I built and was looking for my insurance info or guarantee because he had to have it taken down because it was pushing forward and wanted me to cover the costs. This is the first time I was made aware that there was an issue with the wall other than him just not liking it. If I was made aware that there was in fact an issue with the wall itself, I would have been more than happy to back up my work and correct it. Due to the fact that another company performed work on the project, I am not willing to cover the costs of the work completed by them.

I am rejecting this response because:
The business assertion that our "multiple times" is improper.    We "asked" if adjusting the upper wall from a curved wall to a straight wall could be done and he agreed.  I dug the adjusted area to conform to the straight wall to help.  We believed that a straight wall would be simpler for him to complete.  the second adjustment we made was asking to remove one course from the upper wall.  We paid Mr. [redacted] additional money, as cash, to remove one course.  He agreed and was compensate. He tried to correct a hump in the wall by removing a few blocks and pounding on the block to get the hump corrected.  He unsuccessfully fixed the problem and it continued to be an issue for us and we asked about removing the wall. When we were told that our "transaction was complete" and he would not return we moved to other contractors to see what could be done.  We hired a new contractor and proceeded to remove and rebuild the wall correctly.  During this process it was pointed out that there were several problems that we, as lay people not involved in the retaining wall construction business, were unaware of.  Mr. [redacted] did not use any geo-grid to stabilize the ground behind the upper wall.  He also did not properly pack the base (it continued to sink and contribute to the movement of the wall) and did not build the wall with even one course below the grade.  It was also discovered upon the removal of the upper wall that insufficient rock was put behind the wall and the drain tile was installed too low.  All of these issues created too much pressure behind the wall and with rain the wall pushed out and started to lean forward within the first month following original construction.I do not believe the transaction is complete and continue to expect BP services LLC and Mr. [redacted] to come to some settlement to cover a portion of the additional costs spent to fix problems of his inferior construction.
