Review: On Dec 5, 2012 I took a 06 [redacted] va to B&P Transmission for a fluid change & EVAP. Trouble light, I was told it needed a vacuum hose that was leaking. So on Dec 19, 2012 the van went back for that repair, right after started having problems filling the gas tank, so I notified B&P Transmission. I was told to bring it back on Jan 19, 2013. Van went back. When I went back to pick up van, I was told to correct the problems I was going to need a new gas tank because when they originally replaced the vacuum hose, they had broken a nipple on the tank that recirculates the fumes back into the tank. They had epoxy a smaller one and that was why I was getting back pressure. But in order to correct the problems, I would need a new gas and that was expensive, about $2000 dollars. even the secretary told me if looked around I could possible get cheaper or live with the problem, but after thinking about it, if they broke the tank shouldn’t that be there responsibility to correct it. is there a law for that kind of thing.Desired Settlement: I would like compensation to repair their damage correctly. I need the van fixed

Response:
He came in and had light on and a leak in from vacuum hose. Also there was a large leak on top of the tank which was not replaceable and broken right off. I ordered lines. I had to replace the lines and had to use small diameter nipple to do so that is why he was having difficulty filling tank. I did this work for him for $100 and so that he could pass emissions and get inspection sticker. He came back. I told him that in order for the gas issue to stop is disconnect, but you will have to put it back on to get another sticker.. I told him the only to fix the tank was a new gas tank and then never saw him again.. I would install a new tank if he bought one.

Response:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint.
As I said before when I went in to B.P. Transmission with the EVAP code light he told me he had a smoke machine that could diagnose the problem. After the test I was told the problem was a hose leak and for $100.00 they would replace it. Never once he mentioned any other leaks.
Thank you
