In reference to the complaint received on February 19,2015 for the Alum Creek Duchess Shoppe on
February 8, 2015.
We had our Division Manager [redacted] visit this site to verify if the complaint was warranted.According to Mr. [redacted], the price of the Sunkist 2 liter bottles...

scans at $1.99 plus $ .15 tax, for a totalof $2.15. Both the sign and price tag say $1.99 plus tax. However, there were no sales of the Sunkist 2liter bottles sold on 2/8/15.Also, we did advertise that Ice Mountain 20 ounce water and Deja Blue 20 ounce water were bothadvertised for $.99. However, we had no sales for $1.48; as we do not have any items in our store forthis amount. The closest items would be 16 ounce Coke products for $1.39 plus $.10 tax for a total of$1.49 and we sold two of this item on 2/8/15.
If at any time a price scanned does not match an advertised price, we will give the customer the lessexpensive price and make the correction in our computer, following the transaction. Also, if at any timea customer does not get his/her concerns resolved, they are welcome to call the Corporate Office, andwe will do our best to resolve their concerns.
If you need any additional information, or have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

I have been buying my gas at Wade Square in Belleville IL my whole life, I try to keep my money in the community where I live. Currently we have had a BP gas station for quit a long time. I fill my tank, my mothers and grandmothers there. But I am about to switch gas stations. This location has had pump problems for over two years you can barely squeeze the handle or it will shut off, it usually takes 4 to 5 times as long or longer than it would take a circle K or a Hucks. I find it hard to believe a corporation this size wont keep up on the repairs. Come September you are loosing our business and loyalty if repairs aren't made.

Today was my birthday. I stopped in this local store to purchase $10 worth of gas. I went in and bought a soft drink and PREPAID for my gas. I was handed a receipt and I went and pumped my gas in the cold. Upon finishing the clerk ran outside screaming that I did not pay for the gas. My card was no good. I said my card is fine, and I have my receipt. In very poor English she informs me that I pumped $30 worth of gas and only paid for $10. I said I pumped exactly $10 and I went outside to take a photo of the pump. In her native language she starts asking the other cashier about this receipt and they discover that I was correct and said "we're sorry." BP clerk just accused me of stealing (TWICE) on my birthday, in front of a full store of witnesses.Product_Or_Service: gasDesired SettlementI want my money back or a formal letter of apology for the public humiliation that I received on my birthday.

Review: Pump No. 7 states the gas price as $3.49 but when you check the receipt it says I was charged 3.57. This is the second time that this has happened. Two weeks ago the pump said $3.49 but I was charged $3.51. I spoke with someone at the gas station and he said the pump was malfunctioning and I needed to speak with BP, there was nothing he could do. I called BP and they said it was the gas station's responsibility. In the meantime everyone who uses this station is being incorrectly charged more then the price posted. Most people probably don't even look at the price on the receipt so who knows how long this has been going in.Desired Settlement: The gas station needs to fix their pumps and correctly charge the posted amount. In addition, while it is nothing more then a few dollars, think of all the people who are being overcharged. It's disgusting.

Response:

At this time, I have been contacted directly by BP regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The owner called me and blamed BP. When I spoke with BP they said it was the owner's fault. The owner said he was going to post a sign regarding the problem but when I drove by I didn't see one and once again the price posted didn't match the price on the pump. This was over a week ago. I no longer go there so I'm not sure what has happened.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,

Review: Won a prize on a skill game located in the BP, it did not despinse. Asked the BP employee if they owned the machines, she replied that they did not. I let her know the situation and asked if I could recieve my money back, she replied,"I am not allowed to give you your money back, I just can't do that." She told me she would let her manager know, and she would put an out of order sign on the machine. I asked if she had the manager's number and if she could allow me to have it to file a complaint. She replied VERY condescendingly," I don't have the manager's number, and even if I did, I couldn't give it to you." I looked outside of the BP for any typeof phone number to call. I found an Emergency Number and called it, but found that it was "temporarily diconnected". I wentback inside to see if the prize finnaly despinsed, where I found the BP employee cleaning the glass on the machine. If BP didn't own the machines, why would she be cleaning them?Desired Settlement: Would like to recieve the prize I selected, or a refund.

[redacted], Manager states if the consumer will call him when he is back in the area ###-###-#### he will do whatever he can to resolve the complaint.

Review: I purchased a vehicle charger to charge phone. recommended by the clerk. As I left mine at home and visiting family and needed to charge phone to contact family. I tried to charge my phone for 30 plus minutes. However, I was making extremely slow progress. I returned to the store to get refund and clerk was about to refund credit card payment and suddenly blurted out and point at display stating that it reads no refunds. I explained but it does not work. I would like a refund. He refused stating that because my phone had a very low charge when I tried the product that it would be very slow until it reached 15 percent or so and then would respond to a quicker charge. I have several of these at home and none of them have that issue I explained to him. He still refused to refund. I sat in the parking lot called my credit card company and explained. They tried to call the store but no answer. I walked inside and informed him that the representative would like to speak to him and he refused. Ended that phone conservation and asked his name. He refused to provide. Asked for manager name and he refused. Asked for a phone number and he blurted it is on receipt. I showed him it was not and he angrily grabbed a pen and provided. I said but sir you may not have seem the sign at the top of the display stating no refund. He replied IGNORANCE is no an excuse. Very rude and unprofessional.Desired Settlement: refund and apology for misunderstanding and conduct of rude clerk.

Review: The business had a sign where they stated that if you used a BP credit card you would pay the same price for gas as the cash price. Upon looking at my reciept where I paid with my BP credit card I was charged the credit card price instead of the cash price. When I approached the employee in the store they were unaware of this sign and pricing difference. They then called the owner who said that he would look into the issue on Monday (my gas purchase was on Saturday). This sign and pricing clearly falls into false advertising in my eyes and I am hoping that you can help to correct this and ensure that this business is help liable for the monies due to customers. I took pictures of the sign which was posted in front of the pumps as proof even though I believe that they have since been taken down.Desired Settlement: Being that this sign has been up for multiple purchases I would like for this business to provide a refund to the affected customers and ensure that they are following and meeting the pricing advertising which they are displaying.

Review: I was purchasing gas for my Mercedes E320.. when I search for gas I try to go to the lowest price gasoline stations since my car takes only premium gas. I was riding down New Hampshire Avenue to look at gas prices knowing there are (3) gasoline stations in that area. I looked at each advertised price and notice that the BP had the lowest price if I paid with cash. The price was $3.92 a gallon (the CASH Price). I went to pay the cashier $30.00. I got a receipt that said $30.00. I started pumping the gas and noticed that the pump said 3.97. I continued to pump gas thinking the adjustment is being made somewhere since I did pay cash. Once I finished.. the price on the pump did not change or do anything to let me know that the price would be 3.92 it remained at $3.97. Once I finished pumping my gas, I went inside and asked the cashier for a receipt. I told the cashier that I noticed that the pump said 3.97, but the CASH price outside on the advertising stand said 3.92. I asked for the receipt again and he said he couldn't print it for me. He printed a receipt for another pump, but not from the pump that I used. Well, I found that odd that the cashier was unable to print a receipt from my pump. Once the cashier insisted that he couldn't print my receipt.. I started taking pictures of the advertise price and the price that displayed on my pump. One may say.. Come On what does 5 cents difference do to you. Well, this can add up. Bottom Line this is false advertising.. Yes.. if I wanted to pay 3.97.. I could have gone to one of the other gasoline stations in the area for that price, but I choose to go to this gasoline station since it was cheaper than what was in the area.Desired Settlement: I'm not sure how many other people are not noticing what is being advertised and what is actually being charged to them by these gasoline stations. This is ridiculous. These gasoline stations are making enough money as it is. I'm not sure how many gallons I pumped for $30.00 that day since I was unable to get a receipt, but I feel I should get my refund or a free fill up.
