Review: We hired B&R Concrete and Excavation Corp for concrete installation in our driveway and repairing loose stucco under the porch and both sides of front steps of our one family house for $4,800. B&R was also going to power wash the steps after finishing the job and provided a one-year warranty. On May **, 2015 we received an Invoice/Contract and issued an $800 deposit check. The company supposed to start at 8 am on Wed, May **, but two people (GUS & Junior) only arrived at 11 am. Gus immediately left and Junior began power wash. I asked him why he started with power wash before completing dirty concrete job and Junior explained that Gus took all the tools with him in the truck when he left and power wash was the only thing Junior could perform.After washing the steps, Junior began waiting for Guss return calling him again and again. Gus finally arrived at 3:40 pm and two of them began working. They removed some loose stucco, made big holes and started patching. They worked for an hour and left at 4:45 pm promising to come back next morning at 8 am. I inspected their job and found that they patched cracks w/o removing old paint, did not remove all loose stucco and that the stucco they installed was already falling. On Thu the workers arrived at 9:15 and I showed them that the stucco they put the day before was falling and asked them to fix it. However, they refused to continue working at all, called B&R, and left the job. On Fri, May ** Angelo inspected the site and told us that we are not paying him enough to do a quality job and that B&R would quit. (We interviewed four companies and although B&R gave us a highest bid, we decided to hire them because they were listed as No 1 [redacted] in [redacted]). We requested our deposit back and Angelo told us that hed call us after he estimates how much to return. No one called us for a week, we called B&R on Fri, May ** and Angelo told us that hed contact us after a long weekend. No one called us for another week, we called again on Fri, June * and Angelo again told us that he did not make a decision. We called many times after that and left many messages but no one returned our calls.We leave with the open holes and falling stucco under the porch and on the step sides. More and more stucco falls down every day and the holes become bigger. We are not able to get the job done yet it is a high season and businesses are booked for the summer. We lost $800 deposit and with the falling stucco it is dangerous to go to our garage.Desired Settlement: Please help us to get our money back.
