Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/09/02) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] ***/ Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: [redacted] On [redacted] Mr [redacted] came into shop requesting a new front left wheel sealwe replaced wheel seal,and put proper oil in hub, checked for leaks, diagnosed and reset a breaker for his trailer lights to workA couple hours later received a phone call from Mr [redacted] stating his hub cap was leaking and informed him if he could bring it back we would definitely take care of it or find a local shop there from where he was calling from and we would work with himIt wasn't until several days later we received another phone call from him in [redacted] stating he needed a new spindleAccusing of improper installationI did tell him that I would talk to our mechanic, but also asked him to have the mechanic there call meI wanted to discuss the situation with the mechanicIf it were due to a improper seal installation or wrong oil, the truck would not have made it to [redacted] We are willing to refund his money on what we charged him for our repairBut that is all we can doWe are sorry for any problems he has had, but we can only warranty our work if it is brought back into our shopWe cannot go by what other mechanics say or chargeThank you [redacted] Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2016/09/02) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I saw the oil that he put in with my own eyes 50w transmission oil synthetic! Written on the container! The leaking hub cap was replaced properly and refilled with the proper fluid! I Can tell you that I am the one person who does not want my own equipment to fail! I am the owner I am responsible for payments for repairs etc.etcIf I had noticed the leaking Wheel seal in my pre trip inspection I would have repaired it again! Which I had supposed to have done by Bracket! Are you telling me that your repairs only last a few days? Yes you offered me to drive miles back to you so you could I guess replace the hub cap? Were you going to pay for the gallons of fuel and my time?You wanted me to find a shop that would have again replaced the old hub cap and put hub oil,like I did! I do not accept your offer! I tried calling you but you would not return my calls after you told me you would! I will be waiting for a better offer than your first one Sincerely [redacted] L [redacted] !!!
