Braden Roofing Reviews (1)

[redacted]Kansas City, Kansas 66103Tel([redacted] Fax[redacted]Website: [redacted]Email: [redacted]@sbcglobal.net      June 17, 2016[redacted] [redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted]: I have read and reviewed your correspondence dated...

6/7, although for the record I did not actually receive it until earlier this week. Please do refer to point 11 of the contract terms and conditions: 11. Contractor is not liable for damage to sheetrock, plaster cracks, cracks to your driveway or sidewalks due to deliveries from material suppliers or contractor’s vehicles or other damages due to normal re-roofing work or conditions. The gutter concern stated in your letter would fall under the normal re-roofing work conditions part of this clause. The gutter screens (which in my opinion are not the best type—more on that later) actually inserted within the old roof, which of course, had two layers.  The work we performed included the full removal of both layers and the installation of new plywood along with the new roof application.  Obviously, if we are removing the old roof and the screens are interconnected with the roof, we will of course need to move the screens of performing the job.  The very slight corner bends seen in the pictures would be a natural result of the normal re-roofing work condition of removing the old roof which was interconnected to the screens. The pictures you sent clearly show that any “damage” to the screens is minimal in nature.  Truth is, the pictures showed the screens to be properly functioning.  I could discern some slight bending on the edges of some of the screens, but far less than one would expect from a rigid metal screen which had been interconnected with an old roof.  From all appearances, my crew performed their due diligence.  We have offered to address the minimal corner bends.  To be clear, I do not consider the gutter screen issue such as it is to be in any way the fault of Braden Roofing or workers associated with Braden Roofing.  As such, I cannot cover any expense associated with this issue. For the record, at Braden Roofing, we have no problem whatsoever with taking responsibility for issues which were caused by worksite accidents, such as repairing the upstairs ceiling of your home.  The gutter issue is something altogether different. For what it is worth, your gutter screen system is generally very low quality (and it also seems to be overpriced based on the numbers you have presented).  You might want to research Shur Flo or Gutter RX. I would be very happy to discuss this matter directly with your legal counsel, if you have retained said counsel. Thank you. [redacted] Braden Roofing
