Glass door purchased less than a year ago and it's defective. Company won't replace.
We purchased one double-pane sliding glass door from Braden's Glass, LLC on 7/1/2019. Customer ID: *** for $425.00 installed. Paid by credit card with a $50 deposit. On June 22nd, 2020 the double-pane sliding glass door started to lose the inert gas sealed between the two panes of glass causing haze and cloudy throughout the glass door. Additionally, there are several finger prints and marks that appeared since the defect between the glass making it impossible to clean or remove. The material defects have been worse over the last few days and have not improved. We contacted the owner of the company to get the door replaced since we have had this door less than one year. We were told that the he no longer purchases from the supplier he got our door through and he's ..."not getting that piece for free like he normally would." "And it's not the first time he had to switch out a door for the same issue." We replied back that we are sorry for what's happening and wanted to know when he could come out to replace it. He is beating around the bush about replacing it and gave us absolutely no solution for the defective item he sold to us. He is also saying that he has supply issues yet someone left a review for his company 3 weeks ago saying they had a window replaced the very next day.
This is not the first unsatisfactory customer service interaction we had with the owner. It was unpleasantly hard to get him to come out to replace our glass door once he got the door in. He kept pushing off the install and replacement until we had to proactively and uncomfortably push for it. We prefer to longer do business with them and would like a refund so we can get another double-pane sliding glass door installed from a different company.
