I received the Statement which was sent from the Bradford Family YMCA and I maintain that (pretty much) their entire story is fabricated, full of completely made up liesI am disappointed and disgusted by the lack of integrity that exist at the top of the Staff in the Bradford YMCAI do not understand why they are lying, but they are definitely lyingI did nothing wrongThe way that they say things happened are completely madeupits baffling and unbelievableAs long as those people are running that place, my daughter and I don't even want to ever step foot in there againI want to make it very clearNOT ONCE did I ever use vulgar language, raise my voice, or even argue with any of their staffIt is sad that they would even make that up against me, knowing that its not trueThe only person that even raised his voice and was disrespectful (in front of my young daughter, who doesn't understand why all this is happening) was the Branch managerHe yelled, he lied continuously, he was completely out of lineI AM HAPPY TO NOT HAVE MY DAUGHTER around those kind of people any longerAttached to this email are pics of my daughter and I using the Weight room, just because I noticed that they said we only used the Gymnasium......I am sincerely,Completely Disgusted, *** ***

Revdex.com [redacted] 400 Holiday Drive #220 Pittsburgh, Pa, 15220 FAX: 412-922-8656Re; Complaint I.D. # [redacted]The member in question voluntarily canceled his membership on 10/8/2017. On 10/7/2017 he came into facility to use the gymnasium with his daughter at roughly 4:45pm. He...

was informed when he came in that the gym was closed at 5pm. He and his daughter went to the gymnasium anyway and noticed that one of the courts was open and asked a YMCA staff person why he was told the gym was closed when there is one court open. The director advised him that the teams decided to practice together today with no prior notice to the YMCA. Staff advised that these are closed practices and the coaches would prefer not to have distractions for the youth during these times. After an argumentative exchange from the member, the director -attempting to appease the member - allowed him and his daughter to use the court until 5:30pm, At 5:30 Y staff asked the member to finish up so teams could get set up for their 6pm practice. Again, the member argued the timing of this and wanted a few more minutes to use the gym. After some discussion with staff, the member and his daughter left the gym. On his way out of the building, the member made rude comments to the staff and used vulgar language in front of staff and members,At this point the Executive Director was called at 7pm by his facility staff because they were upset about how the member had treated them and the language that he used. The executive director reported to the branch shortly after - knowing that the member would be back around 8pm to use the gymnasium until closing time. At 8pm the member came in and was asked by the Director to meet with him in his office. During the conversation, the member refused to listen and argued everything that was discussed. At that point, the decision was made to not allow the member back in and to suspend his membership. He was asked to leave the facility. Aside from the issue of the member not accepting that the gym was available for his use, the member's behavior and language were unacceptable and in violation of acceptable member conduct. As the member left the facility, he continued to argue with front desk staff about what he was told and called Y staff liars, using vulgar words. At this point, the director asked him to leave again. The member continued to argue and only left the facility when threatened that the authorities would be called. The CEO was made aware of the situation and spoke with this member on the phone a few days after the incident. The CEO facilitated a meeting between the member and executive director of the facility. It was understood at that meeting, realistic expectations around availability of the gym - and code of conduct would be discussed. The member agreed to this meeting and later cancelled. The CEO has learned this incident was a culmination of several instances where the member wants to use the gymnasium during peak hours when youth teams have practice or are scheduled to play, In his phone conversation with the member, the CEO explained that he has been high maintenance for YMCA staff to keep him satisfied. The member said he was not made aware of that fact before however admitted that the only reason he and his daughter come to the YMCA is to use the gym so they can shoot hoops. They come almost daily and do not us any other part of the YMCA facility (wellness, aquatics center or any other area). The member said that the only time they come is right after school late afternoon. The CEO explained that during the time the member wants to use a court In the gym, it is peak hours and crowded due to the after school program the YMCA runs, followed by times where basketball teams practice. When the CEO suggested that the Y could not adequately serve his needs and recommended that the member find somewhere else to practice basketball with his daughter, he responded with "I don't have anywhere else to go except the YMCA."It is clear that over time, the member has been taking advantage of the graciousness of the YMCA - who have been consistently trying to accommodate his personal needs even though it has taken an unreasonable amount of time and effort on staff's part to do so. Just because the member has nowhere else to go, does not justify him trying to impose his need on the greater good of Y other members who are already scheduled to be in the gym at certain times, even when on occasion they have unexpected change of practice times. The Bradford YMCA - even at this point - will work with the member to allow him to join the facility again, but again, a meeting needs to be scheduled before that happens to have clear expectations moving forward; Including the unavailability of the gym during times the member wants to use it. Unless the member acknowledges that the gym is not usually available at times he wants to use It (and especially because the gym Is the ONLY reason he uses the YMCA), there is no reason for him to be a YMCA member.
