Brady Auto Sales Reviews (26)

Review: Went looking for a new car. Found Brady's auto sales.Thoughts of buying a new used one. We never saw the sales man we dealt with a man in the front common area. Showed us autos that we might be interested, We found one that of the Saturn. We decided to take Saturn and they told us that it needed a little of work and that they would have it ready for tomorrow am. went Home ,came back in the morning and they told us it would be a little while longer and it would be ready. We waited five hours before they told us that they had a hard time getting a the part. They once again they told us to come back they would have it ready. Now it s Saturday and that we still don't have a car. We came back to pick up the car and it still was not ready. They put us off and off, Finally we asked what the problem was and they told us they got the part on , but when they took it off the rack they damaged the muffler system and it would not be ready until Monday. We said that we forget it and that we looked for another car and ready to purchase it on Thursday. It took over three hours to get the paper ready and the car did not have a inspection sticker on it that they had to have it inspected. That did not happen. On Friday, we had to come back on Sat. It still was not ready the car or paper work. We waited over five hours again by that time we were ready to go home. Still Nothing was ready. [redacted] placed new plates on the car and left us take the car home and we were to come back in Saturday to finalize the paper work. After all that, we had to come back in a week later to resign the paper work. It was wrong the contract. The dates were incorrect on the contract it said we were to pay our first payment in July Not August,as we wereinformed. We are informed that we are late with the July bank payment and are charged a late fee until the payment is caught up.Desired Settlement: We wish a refunded of the down payment and the extra undue expense of the bad communication of the agreement of the contract and explanations of the said due amount of the first payment plus late fees. The said amount of the first said amount due and the date.Clear our account from the bank and credit. We will gladly return the auto mobile to dealership. They are refusing to speak to us about anything from the [redacted] and [redacted] to resolve anything.

Mr. S and Ms. R came to our lot in late May and found a Saturn on our lot they wanted to buy and were told it was being taken to [redacted] Auto Body and Repair to have a tranny pan replaced. It did not have exhaust damage and it was not being serviced at our garage. We have a very limited service department and would not be doing this type of repair. They were told it would be few days before it would be back which worked for them because they were both on fixed income and didn’t have the down payment right then. When they came back the car was still at Fidel’s so they looked at other vehicles. Mr. S & [redacted] picked out an SUV but it needed inspected so we told them to come back after we had it inspected. They came back and it was still at Castrol Service and we sent someone to pick it up. The long wait for paperwork is common when you are purchasing a vehicle. It does take hours, especially when you are going through special financing. They gave us an address that they said was “their residence” and when the deal was submitted and accepted by the lender then the contracts were released and the customers signed off on them. With special financing, there is very strict criteria that each bank adheres to in determining what or if they will lend for a vehicle and what terms they expect the customer to be willing to accept in order to finalize the deal. Once the paper work is processed by us we send the original paperwork with signatures the finance company and they go through their verification process, this takes one to two weeks depending on how easier or difficult to get the information they are looking for. When the lender in this case conducted their verification process, they notified us that the deal they offered was being rejected because the residence requirement was not met. It was determined BY THE FINANCE COMPANY that the buyers/customers did not in fact live at the same address and so that changed the deal. When we called the customers Mr. S and [redacted] they said that they gave us only one address because the one they gave us was the one they wanted the mail to go to. [redacted] called them and explained the situation to them and they were told the contracts had to be adjusted to show that the buyers had separate residences and whatever other details that were being changed because of the new information. Again, there are very strict guidelines and it is not a matter of just adding an address, the whole deal gets kicked back to the dealer and they want all new paperwork signed at dated. They came back in and the new contract was signed on 6/12/2013 and the first payment due on 7/12/2013. The customer because they didn’t have the money to make the first payment by that date wanted their automatic debit to come out on the 4 of the month because of how their income is received each month. They were told that they could pick that date but they have to pay a late fee for the ability to pay late. If they didn’t want to pay a late fee they would have had to opt for the 12th of July and didn’t again because the funds wouldn’t be there because of how there fixed income is received. Even when the first contract was signed on 6/1/2013 they would have had to make the first payment by 7/1/2013 but they picked 07/04/2013 as their first payment date. Both forms are attached with their signatures. To date they have had possession of the vehicle and have not made a payment, that is not our fault.

Review: I purchased a 2003 Izuzu Ascender in June 0f 2013. The check engne light was on at the time of test drive. I was assured it had been fixed at the time of purchase (3 days later). The light came on 3 hours after purchase. I returned to dealer the next day, salesman turned off the light and instructed me to call on Monday to speak to mechanic which I did. I too the vehicle back to dealer a total of three times to have the problem fixed (was told it was the converter). It was never fixed. Was told that they were trying to schedule an appointment with another mechanic who was able to weld and they would call me back. This was two months ago and still no call and no repair. As far as I am concerned they had no intention on ever repairing the problem. I was told by a salesman that "The converter does not need to work, you just want that light off".Desired Settlement: I want my vehicle fixed at their cost.

Response:

This customer had a light that came on after her purchase. She did come in and the light was turned off but came back on. There was an issue with the converter and that was something we not able to fix at our service station. In speaking with the salesman, there was an appointment made for her to take it to have it taken care of but she did not show up for the appointment according the mechanic, (not our mechanic) We are willing to take care of this problem but apparently there was some sort of misunderstanding as to the appointment, we did have one set up for her off site. Customer should call and ask for [redacted], he will set this up for her.

Review: I purchased a used 03 suv from Brady Auto Sales 2 months ago. I was looking for a newer bigger vehicle for my family that consists of 5. Although I wanted something newer like a 05 suv the night I went to Brady Auto Sales the sales man took me straight to a green truck. He bragged about how it was nice and fully loaded I told him before that I had 4 kids and he said that the vehicle would also be a plus because it had a dvd player in the back for the kids. The next day I went to purchase the truck. 2, 000 down and in the end I would be paying16,000 for this 03 suv. Soon as I purchased it the same day I found out that the cd player/dvd was not working. Now I am in a contract for 16,000 they just got 2,000 dollars of my money for a deposit and they did not make me aware the the cd/ dvd player was not functioning. I called the sales man the same day. Now it is April and they have tried to fix the same cd/dvd player that they originally took out in Feb when I purchased the vehicle. I have ran back and forth to brady auto sales 5 times with no satisfaction. The reason I feel this is a problem is because if they would have made me aware that everything was not working properly before I purchased this 16,000 used vehicle we would not be in this situation because I probably would have just picked another vehicle. Now Im stuck with this vehicle that im unhappy with because of neglect. My children are suffering also because they are looking at a dvd player that does not work and they are wondering why. Besides trying to fix the cd player 5 times with I was told the same people they gave no more reasonable options for fixing the problem The only thing I wanted from Brady Auto Sales was for them to fix the problem so I could get what I thought I was paying 16,000 for and move on with my life.Im not sure if you can help me but im also preparing myself to go to the magistrate. Thank youDesired Settlement: I asked if they could pick a place in pgh that maybe repairs or replaces dvd/ cd players and they could arrange to get it fixed or ill go price a place and bring the estimate and they can cut me a check because in the end all I wanted was it fixed and I just gave them 2000 dollars so I dont have the money to do so

Review: Upon purchase of the vehicle within days there was issues with the vehichle. It was inspected with bad hub assemblies check engine light on and no back brake lights. The first car ride with the kids we relied there was no clasp for middle buckle to clasp into for weeks now we've have been playing the phone games with them about resolving the issues they have pond us on to one person in dealer to another till finally today after the shop they referred us to said there was 1000 + $ in repairs need to be done now they are saying to not come back to Brady auto sales were not welcome there and there not fixing anything nor will they tell us who does there inspections....Desired Settlement: If they will not fix repairs trade the car for another of equal working condition since the loan company has already said this can be done.

The Complainants bought the car on 10/18 and called their salesman shortly after that to complain about the seatbelt clasp and we have agreed to replace it. (not sure of the date)They made no mention of any other problems until they put in an aftermarket CD player/sound system. They called a couple weeks ago about a few problems and we told them to bring the vehicle in. The issues they presented to us were problems with brake lights and the check engine light coming on. All brake lights were working at the time of sale; the vehicle was inspected by either [redacted] or [redacted] both local companies we have no affiliation with. We send out all inspection work. When the vehicle was looked at by the owner and an employee it was apparent that the wiring of the system they put in or had someone else put in was done in an unsafe and unprofessional manner. There were wires hanging out all over the car. There are pictures enclosed that we took at the time the vehicle was brought in to us to look at.Among many problems we could see with the aftermarket sound systems wiring issues, the ground wire for the sound system was wedged in between the positive terminal and the battery which is a safety and fire issue.Once a customer alters the vehicle we sold them, we cannot be responsible for failures which coincide with that altering. Both complainants came in to speak to the owner on the 7th of January and the conversation was going in circles, nothing was getting accomplished because both customers were getting loud, threatening, using foul language and insulting. The only reason they were asked to leave was because the situation was escalating. They then went on our website and wrote foul and insulting things about our company. It is difficult to reason with people who want to resort to that type of behavior. If they are having other issues with the vehicle, they have a warranty and can take it to anyone who honors it, and there are many to choose from. If the car has a bad hub that would be covered under the warranty. We said we would take care of the clasp on the seat belt and that is all we are going to do for these customers. Our belief is that when they installed the aftermarket system in the car they caused the issues they are complaining about and we do not feel we should take responsibility. Please call at your earliest convenience of you has any questions about this matter,Sincerely

Review: The car was purchased on August 2013 it has been in repair shop 3 times for the same issue wheel bearing the car came with a bumper to bumper warranty which is to cover for repairs the wheel bearing in question is has caused other problems with the SUV it now needs a spindle and bearing and possible damage to abs sensor and half shaft and transmission so the warranty company will not cover anything because initial wheel bearing problem caused other problems that's what they tell meDesired Settlement: Either replace or repair

Review: Brought a car from Brady Auto June 2014 from day one the check engine light has been on. The car broke down in October of 2014 and the car is still in the shop. The car computer system wont start the car. Every time we tried to contact Brady Auto they always give us the run around. Brady Auto had us take it to their mechanic Oct 2014 in Plum Boro of PA thought he fixed it not. then we took it to [redacted] Auto end of Oct thought they fixed it not. [redacted] Auto said the car needs a new engine and computer system. the Warranty will pay for the engine but not the computer system. the computer is what makes the car start. I lost my jobs in Oct 2014 because the car wouldn't start up.Desired Settlement: I want my down payment $1,500 and every car payment of $384.00 I paid since Oct 2014 and every month after that until if the car is liable. I also I want compensation wages for loss of my job in month of Oct 2014 and my wages are $20.00 dollar and hour I work 70 hour a week.

This customer bought a Suzuki XL-7 on June 1, 2014. He came in the next day with a check engine light on and wanted us to get him a little bracket for his tailgate, the engine light was a minor issue that we took care of and we never heard from him again until October when he called with an issue and a mechanic in Plum looked at it and apparently it was not fixed, we didn't know the problem wasn't resolved because we didn't hear anything from him.We didn't know he was taking it to be fixed again until this week when he called us and I am only going on what it is he is saying happened. He took it to [redacted] Automotive (when he called, he kept saying [redacted] Suzuki) and they replaced the engine at no cost to the buyer, but that did not take care of the problem either. The customer told us that [redacted] then said it was the fuse box that was bad so we told him we would get him a fuse box as a good faith gesture and he could have someone install it. The fuse box we were getting for him was 150.00. He told us [redacted] already installed a new box and they were charging him over 700.00 and he called us to ask if we would pay for it. His vehicle is still in the shop because he has not paid them to get it out.During the time [redacted] Automotive was doing the warranty work (replacing the engine) he was eligible for a rental car through the warranty company, so I don't know why he didn't have transportation. The first we even heard of this engine problem was this week. We never had any calls in the past few months telling us of all these problems and the loss of his job, as far as we knew, the car was fixed back in October. The car was bought as is; there was a minor issue that was taken care of when he came in the day after he bought it. It then ran fine unti! sometime in October, we offered to pay 150.00 for a fuse box but he already had one installed. We are not willing to pay for his car to get released from [redacted] Automotive. The offer to pay 150.00 toward the bill to [redacted] Automotive stands. Please call at your earliest convenience if you have any questions.Sincerely[redacted]
