We have reviewed this claim; finding that the press board particle board desk was purchased in a box and assembled by the customer, there was no neglect on the movers that loaded and unloaded (with a talk to the guy that took this desk down, he indicated that the item was padded and secure at the
time it was unloaded ) it wouldn't be covered per the signed paperwork by the customer. The customer asked about Valuation and was given his options, we can not tell them what to pick, at cents per lbper NYS we paid them the correct amount for the items. As for the lawn Fox Hollow has offered to fix the lawn, per the letter that was sent to this customer. As for the culvert the truck or trailer did not get close to the culvert. I will not get into the weather problems for the day, as we agreed on a date, and the call was not made until after the crew was already at residence to make a date change, so yes that would be a charge to the customer as the crew was already at the house to make a delivery. If the state or county had called for a snow emergency and given order to stay off the road, then we would of course cancel a move. There was more than this customer being serviced on this date and we had no accidents or problems making any deliveries. I have attached the 2nd claim letter sent, along with the press board particle board waiver, Waivers for driving on driveway and Lawn and property damage form completed at the end of the move when the customer did a walk thru to inspect his home. I am very sorry this customer is not happy with his claim outcome, but we did everything that we said we would do, and above by offering to do lawn repair for the tire imprints

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The company offered to pay a partial claim which is 1/the replacement costOn top of this the company refused to pay for damages done to furniture that was obviously caused by a razor while unpacking it

Customer offered to help our driver unload because the hired labor to help was running late and the customer wanted them to hurry to unloadThe driver did not ask anyone to help him unloadThe destination agent is responsible for providing quality labor to us , so we have little control as to
how that person may smell, look or be on timeThey do not work for Fox Hollow Movers and those conditions have been reported to the destination agentIf there is a claim for any damage the customer will need to contact our office for a claim form, fill it out and submit the claim for review

I would like to start that this Mr*** *** is a Military member that the US Military moved this person and his family and there is no out of pocket cost paid to our company from this personThe claim that we showed up late: member was given a 10-crew arrival time, the crew took
a lunch prior to getting to this job and started at 12:(per the customers notes on the paperwork) The claim that we showed up hours late is a reachThe crew was min later than the time that they should have arrivedSaying that they looked hung over and that one of them was high on something! Did he perform drug and alcohol testing on them? And if he had a problem why didn't he call the military inspector as they are instructed to do! "oh this is going to suck" my apologies for inappropriate comment and the employee will be written up for such a comment as this is not how we operate our businessLeaving job at 5pm, is not out of the ordinary and the job was 95% complete for any of the packingThe crew had a hour + drive to get back to *** from ***No complaint was ever given to my company that eveningUnpacking boxes: per military regulations no boxes are to be unpacked after crew leaves or while crew is at residenceThis is for the protection of the goods as well as packers get paid from military for packing these boxes only onceIf they needed something a crew member should have been notified that and item was packed by mistake(digging thru packed boxes can cause damage if not repacked correctly)Missing High value item! There was never any American Eagle coin listed on any high value list as well as something like this should have been removed from home prior to letting the crew into house for packing( this is the first I have been informed of such a missing item and would believe this a fraudulent claim) no mention of such an item was made at load day and was not the same as the pack dayDamages to members belongings: at time of our delivery to the destination warehouse because the member didn't have a home to deliver it intoI have enclosed a copy of the original inventories done at the members house in NY and a copy of the Rider written at the Destination warehouse (while unloading I know of only one claim that was not original - one of the helpers pulled dryer out and a folding table slid down behind it and broke the knob of the dryer) the rider indicated some scratches and chips as the made note, keep in mind that the original rider was written at home and lists scratches, chips, dents in members furniture as seen in the
home prior to loadingMattress for load separation: this is a very common use for a mattress that is packed inside a box and protectedCrew does not use ratchet straps but straps that you can only hand tighten by pullingI have checked
with the company that hired us to provide
me with the delivery paperworkAs well as checking to see if this member has filed a claimAs for the Desired Settlement: Member must follow government claim process as we have no control over any such settlementThank you for your time in this matterI would think that this claim
against Fox Hollow Movers will be removed as this person had no payment/money exchange or bill from our companySincerely, Kimberly F. General Manager

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This is ridiculous on their part to just blow this off - the driver explained that a storm was brewing in the north and he had to get back on the road - what common sense person would not offer to assist - no I'm not in any shape physically to help but with the help of carts we did what we could. The person that came to help was very late and only helped to haphazardly throw my belongings in and that is how stuff got ruined. Yes I will put in a claim to insurance but short of totally emptying the storage who knows what will be ruined. This is total crap. I also asked specifically before the move - where do they get their people - and I have emails to back this up....Traci from *** said they work for *** - they do not just get people off the streets. This type of customer service is non existent with *** and they should not be allowed to get away with it - I have camera footage for that day from the storage facility to prove the work we performed and I already paid my friend to help. I realize that based on what I'm reading that I will never get reimbursed - but want people to know about their business dealings. I will continue with *** and *** and get online to make sure john Q Public is aware

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory if the business, in lieu of "coming back in the spring" to repair our lawn, instead sends compensation for close to what their costs to do that work would be and we will take care of it ourselves, and consider this matter closedI trust a fair & reasonable amount to cover lawn repair can be sent promptlyAs it is, we have remaining disposal costs to get rid of the demolished 3/4" desk with hutchThings like the hardwood floor dents, and initially the bike were virtually impossible to pick up at the end of a long blizzard punctuated moving day so my sense is its pretty common for customers/homeowners to come across things missing, broken, or damaged at later datesWith regard to the cents per pound insurance valuation, we are neophytes and the movers are the experts; all I can tell you is that was a figure suggested to me > once by the mover, so yes, that is what I wrote in

My apologies to the family for the delay, but our contract was with the carrier not this customer. The customer needs to contract the carrier about the delay in the hhg. This carrier was notified that our supplier had a back order in sofa boxes and was asked to get some to us so
that we could finish this shipment. They offered to send a box that was not large enough for the sofa. As soon as our supplier was able to provide us with the sofa box, the good shipped out. There are some things that are out of our control. We have supplies in stock and make reorders as needed

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. But when our sofas arrived to our house they were not even in boxes.
Regards,
[redacted]

We do not find any serious issues  with this move that are sometimes  associated with any move.  The driver started to unload while waiting for his labor to help. The customer did not need to help with any of the work for this move. No agreement ( verbally or written) for compensation was agreed to. We always make arrangements with the local [redacted] agencies for help to unload as required by our van lines. As far as the how the items were handed is a concern. We would need to help with the filing a claim for any damages if any have truly happened. Any person has the right to make themselves heard on social media but should we determine that if any legal slandering statements are made we will take immediate action. Threats for retaliation are not acceptable for results and can lead to a more serious problem.
