I canceled the appointment on Friday at 4:pm, I spoke with a representative who had difficulty spelling my name, I had to spell my name multiple timesShe assured me the cancellation and refund request were put throughPlease see the attached screen shot of my cell phone call log reflecting I called them on Friday the 9thFor two minutes I was on the phone with your representativeNo service was completed, no estimate was given and no diagnosis was madeI didn't know that I should have told them there was iceI didn't know the ice would prevent them from servicing the unitThe representative didn't askThey advertised a free estimate but didn't honor the ad

It does not make any difference if *** canceled the call or not. We also have documentation from the answering service where they say he did not call. But regardless we did not charge him for the call on Monday. We offer free estimates on replacing equipment but not service. *** asked about the service charges and we explained them to him in dept. He knew that he had to pay for the call

*** did call in here on Friday. He was told the the service call would be $for the first 1/hr. We went and saw that the unit was froze up. The unit needed to melt the ice off the unit. We give it hrto do soSo we rescheduled the call for Monday morning to
do. We came out Monday morning as requested by Adam. He told us that he canceled the call with us. He did not do so. He said the answering service said we would refund his money. They said no such thing They are simply a answering service. We never told *** that we would give him a free estimate. Another no truth. He told me that he told my office that the unit was froze up when he called. He did no such thing. I did refund *** $which I now regret. We should of charged him for Mondays call also. I will not refund him anymore money. This matter is closed in my eyes and MLHeating Coincpreformed their job as they should of and went beyond the call of duty by refunding some money to *** which we did not need to do

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution satisfactory.
In view of their good will I will in turn renew my service agreement with M L Heating as I have always received good service from them.As a point of clarification for MrWill M***, the rebate in question was offered by the M L Heating service representative and I was advised at the time of purchase that M L Heating would complete all the forms necessary and would forward the rebate once they received I did not contact Columbia Gas Company until recently and will follow up with them to insure that M L Heating is reimbursed for the rebate.*** ***

She assured me the cancellation and refund request were put through. Please see the attached screen shot of my cell phone call log reflecting I called them on Friday the 9th. For two minutes I was on the phone with your representative. No service was completed, no estimate was given and no diagnosis was made. I didn't know that I should have told them there was ice. I didn't know the ice would prevent them from servicing the unit. The representative didn't ask. They advertised a free estimate but didn't honor the ad.
