Prior to Christmas 2013, Mr [redacted] came in to Braidy Jewelers for a battery replacement on his Coach watch Mr [redacted] was informed the watch would need to be sent out to be pressurized and replacement power cell which could not be performed on site Mr [redacted] was informed and agreed to the initial estimate of $- $dollars ( claim check 0761) for the battery replacement/ re pressurization The watch was sent out to our reputable watch repair company [redacted] Inc in Chantilly VA, (###-###-####) which we use exclusively *** concluded the following estimate ( see attachment page ) the watch required a “Complete Overhaul" and recommended $charge to service the watch At which time Braidy Jewelers called the watch maker (***) to verify the service and concluded viable for the repairs recommended and in turn contacted Mr [redacted] to inform of the estimate and get approval to proceedIn an effort to make profit, an estimate was given to the customer of $for the Cost of doing business,warranty, shipping and handlingUpon contact with Mr***, Braidy Jeweler’s advised it would not be worth the money on a watch of this age as the watch required more than just a power cell replacement As a courtesy Braidy absorbed all shipping costs back and forth the to the watch repair and the customer was not charged Braidy Jewelers acted in the best interest of the customer for a quality battery replacement which included a year warranty as well as the integrity of the watch repair for the age of the Coach watch and also advised Mr [redacted] not to spend the money due to the age of the watch There is no guaranty to the $battery replacement this customer received I beg to differ the dishonesty upon Braidy Jewelry’s when the customer was well informed of the recommendation given with regards to the repair Buyer beware of the integrity of the current repairs received in Prescott, AZfor a replacement battery without pressurization or the overhaul recommended.Best Regards

My brother and sister-in-law took the watch to Prescott Trade Shop where they have had other repairs done The watchmaker said that the watch was clean inside and the only issue was that it appeared that the watch sustained damaged to the coil They replaced the coil and the battery for $and completed the repair in a few days As my father was a watchmaker and operated a jewelry store, I was of course reluctant to pay for repairs without a second opinion I think Braidy should find a more reputable company to do repairs Though they did not say it, I felt as if the repairs were to be done locally I would not recommend Braidy for repairs and because of this I would not purchase any jewelry from them
