Review: May 24, 2012 I entered into a contract for a new installation of a central air condition system, the system has never worked properly and I had the contractor back several times without fixing the problem. In May of 2014 I contacted Brainards several times and went to their office on three occasions and was told they would come out and check the system but they never came out, the women in the office told me that the company is going under and that the owners do not answer her calls. I had a second company come out which cost me $250.00, I also spoke with other air condition service personal and they informed me that the installation was done incorrectly.The company will not return calls in addition the unit that was installed was not the one that I contracted for a 16 seer unit they installed a 14 seer unit effecting my UI by increased higher bills.Desired Settlement: I will need to hire a contractor to install air returns in several areas of the home, patch holes where the vents where improperly installed and then move the vents to the proper location. In addition install a 16 seer system. The cost of the system was $8698.00 I would like $5000.00 in return for repairs and to cover the cost of using other contractors along with the higher UI bills.
