The apparent origin of this complaint is a recent request for payment of this patient's Y-unpaid deductible for covered services rendered, sent the patient on 5/18/2017, which we had originally agreed to defer collecting until such time as this patients health carrier sent to my office an
explanation-of- benefit from detailing just what amounts were to apply to deductible outstandingThe health carrier applied per visit to his deductible outstandingWe collected from the patient the standard co payment (per visit at the time of each visit), and deducted this amount from our recent bill requestedThe remaining amount of the per visit, for the five visits in question, leaves this patient with an unpaid balance due of We can write off the remaining unpaid amounts upon payments of this reduced amountHis unwillingness to pay his delinquent bills, reduced in good faith, has spawned a seeming flurry of complaintsMy services were acknowledged necessary when rendered, as the patient attended only six visits total, declared progress made, and self discharged in September The patient never complained to me about any incongruity in my in my height or weight as compared to his own ( we share the same height, and my weight differs insignificantly from the patient's), and I never felt any such "inability" in performing services renderedThank you for forwarding me the complaint as presented and for the opportunity to respond in kindThank you *** ***, D.C
