Poor warranty implementation
The last two rotors of the 10 that I have bought had defective zinc coating. This is what I learned while trying to get a warranty adjustment. Brake Performance (BP) does not warrant defective coating. BP does not warrant defects found after 30 days. For a warranty claim, the customer is responsible for shipping both ways. The quote that I received was $80 one-way ($160 both ways). A mechanic has to certify that the rotor is bad. I estimate $30-$60 for 1/4 to 1/2 hour @ $120/hour. So, my out of pocket would be $190-$220 for a warranty claim. My rotors were about $250. The cheapest and fastest way for me to remedy the bad rotors was to have them resurfaced to remove the defective coating ($50). I also had to sand and clean my brake pads to remove the rotor coating that was stuck to them. I don't see the value of the BP warranty to the customer. The bad ratings that I see are all related to attempting BP to do a warranty adjustment. Of all the companies that I have dealt with, both online and local, BP has the worst warranty implementation.

Not very happy with Brake Performance
I ordered slotted brakes for my truckAll instructions were followed the break in procedure and allEverything was great till about 5K miles at which the rotors started to warpThey are now worse then the orginal rotors that had 65k+ miles on them
The rotors do have a warranty but the pads do not
The warranty/replacement process is very drawn out and difficult
Normally you have to send the old rotors back to them (you pay shipping) and then they send replacements out
I have to pay to ship their defective product back to them and I have to buy new pads and then pay someone to install them again!
Upon dealing with the company over the phone and through email it seems very mom and pop and I would not recommend them!
I had a very similar product from another company that worked great but they no longer sell

defected brake pads excessive dust and squeak
Ordered wheel brake kit on December 1, RBF-XXXXX;XXXXX which included rotor set RB-XXXXX and wheel set semi metallic (premium) brake pads PS-XXXXXfor the front of my Ram HD at the cost of $ I am a repeat customer for the same parts (03/06/2016)The parts were shipped ground and received within a few days to a week Parts were immediately placed on the Ram by my son, who is a diesel mechanic, by trade From the moment the new brakes and rotors were put on vehicle, there was excessive dust on my wheels and tires and squeaking Called times since December to speak with someone about this problem with the last call being on February 22, When speaking with customer service rep, ***, on February 22, she kept insisting that the break in procedure should be done aggressively The brakes have been on the truck since December and the truck is a heavy hauler and has had more than enough

9/9/Warranty requires defected product to be returned before sending replacements
9/9/Brought car to the dealership due to shaky front wheels, the dealership diagnosed that the rotors where warped and the brake pads uneven due to the warped rotors and stated that they need to be replaced Purchased in February 2016, being only months old they are still under warranty Upon filing a claim we were told to return the rotors and then they will send a new pair I explained that we don't have another vehicle to use and we do not have another set of rotors for the vehicle in order to return the defective rotors prior to getting the new set--unfortunately that is there policy, which means I would have to rent a car for 5-days for $and pay shipping to return the defective rotors, and that the brake pads aren't covered...So I am literally paying for a new set of rotors since I have to rent a car and new brake pads plus shipping cost for their defective product Worst Custom

Brake performance advertises brake pads and rotors for "street and track" use, but this is not so, and their warranty information is contradictory
I went to their website and selected the 'street and track' option to purchase rotors and pads that could be used on a track I purchased the equipment in March of I then attended a track day (which involves driving your street car around a race track in a spirited fashion It is not a competition race I drove roughly thirty miles in total before realizing that the brand new pads no longer had any material and I needed to limp home Worried there was something wrong with the track rated pads I purchased, I contacted Brake Performance's support At which point I was told their pads aren't designed for track use, and the warranty is voided
Further, if you visit the FAQ page on their website and look at the information under their warranty They claim a "no questions asked" policy to their warranty process "simply ship the

If I could rate them less I would! This is the worst company every! Do not order from them! I ordered brakes October 18th and still November 8th I haven't received my order! I emailed customer service with no reply, then called customer service was placed on holdShe spend minutes grilling me about why my phone number was differentSo I asked her when my order would ship? She said tomorrow..they have been trying to call and verify the order*** SusanJust give me my money back with your poor excuse for customer service! Your company had no problem taking my money and not contacting me for days even if you thought my transaction was fraud! Horrible business practice!

I've purchased or recommend to friends that they purchase Brake Performance parts in the past but think I am done with their productsSix months ago I purchased a full set of brakes with slotted rotors for our Chevy EquinoxWith less than miles on the brakes the rotors are completely warpedWe live in a rural area and half the miles are free way miles the car is not driven hard at allLooking back, I realize the rotors were bad from the beginningRight after I installed them the steering wheel started to vibrate like the wheels were unbalancedHad the tires balance twice and the vibration is still slightly there, the rotors were not balanced from the factoryI called yesterday about the 2-year warranty and found out the warranty is basically useless unless you can leave your car on jack stands for about three weeksThe bad rotors must be sent back before Brake Performance will start to make a new set and send them to youI didn't expect them to just send me a new set of rotors, I offered to buy a new set and asked them to credit me back once the defective rotors were returnedThey said noI would say I'm done with Brake Performance they don't stand behind their products when they are defective and make their warranty so it is basically uselessWhat a waste of $dollars should have just bought OEM partsThe original brakes had 68,miles on them and the rotors still were not warped the pads were just warn outNow I need to buy new rotors and replace brake pads that have miles on them so the car drives correctly

Company requires me to pay for return shipping of warped rotors and will not provide new ones unless I send back the defective ones first
I purchased front and back rotors for my Chevrolet Camaro on Friday, November 11th, 2016, Order Number: XXXXXX but did not have them installed until May, and had the dealer install them to make sure it was done correctlyAs soon as I picked up the vehicle and applied the brakes the vehicle would ***I decided to use the vehicle for a week before returning it to the dealer to see if it was because the rotors wear new and needed some timeAfter a week of having the issue, I returned the vehicle to the dealer to have it checked and the dealer confirmed the rotors wear warpedThey charged me to have them installed and removedI should not have to pay to have these rotors returned because they are defectiveI've called the company several times and was informed they will not pay to have the rotors returnedI do not want to put anymore

Beware of the "Lifetime Warranty " heads a manufacture defect on a rotor and they sent me a new matched set after inspection of the rotorsSoon after installing them my Wife informed me " Still doing it" I procrastinated swapping them out with the ORIGINAL rotors car has 124k miles on itPulsation goneAfter several emails was informed that the " warranty is only for one time" So I read the warranty and in fact it was true, except it reads one warranty claim Per Customer! I purchased a set for my motor home front and rear took a trip and they worked great ( good thing since per the lifetime warranty they are not covered due to the one claim per customer clauseSorry to say I'll refrain from purchasing from Brake Performance in the future

This company uses deceptive advertising. They say that their in house manufactured dimpled and slotted rotors Are lifetime warrantied and they aren't. They make you jump through hoops to get the replacements ,which aren't even guaranteed to ship. They expect.you to.put your car out.of commssion to send back the old ones Before they will send you a new set. And other shady practices. Don't buy from this company unless you want to be left High and dry.
