I downloaded the app interested to see if I would be able to get an advance, after downloading the app stated I wasn't illegible because my negative account balance was to high. Today I go to look at the app and it said I owed $56.00 how im not sure because I never received an advance. I tried contacting support and no answer I would like my refund in full and my account deleted.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14602629, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This app has really saved me on numerous occasions! Thank you for building a great product!

On last Saturday May 2nd. I was in my phone when I saw in my notification I was debited for $27.99, under Branch Messenger Inc. I check my app and I dont see any history that I charged for that amount nor owe any money to them. I reached out to the support and they were claiming that I did an advance awhile back and did not repay. I just created my account not that long ago, so I dont know how long is she referring to when she said awhile back. Also I was never approved of any advances since the app doesnt detect any income on my bank that I used to register on their app. I also dont have any idea how they were able to pull money from my card without any authorization and legal rights to take money from my card. I have only used my card to refill the balance on my wallet but they have charged me for something I never have done. My account from them is still accessible and they have blocked the feature from checking the history of advances. So I dont really see why they charge me when they know I have been rejected and was never qualified for any advance due to my income. I need help as I dont really earn much money and still someone would go to my card and take money out of it when I struggle to pay my bills and struggling because of the impact of the virus. I have bills to pay and now im short because of the charge that they have made unauthorizely. Please help??????

The Branch support team has been corresponding with *** since May 3rd, when his first inquiry came into the support center. While he stated that he had never requested an advance through the Branch app, our records show that Mr. requested an instant payroll advance for $25 on February 15th, therefore warranting a payback of $27.99 ($25 for the advance, $2.99 for the instant delivery fee). The payback was originally due on February 18th, when his next paycheck would be deposited. But because he did not have sufficient funds on his linked external debit card until recently, we were not able to successfully pull the funds back until May 2nd, shortly before Mr. reached out.

To provide some background, in order to create a Branch account, a user must agree to Branch’s Terms of Service (https://www.branchapp.com/terms); after agreeing to the Terms, the user is then able to connect their external bank account and debit card. The Terms state that when an advance is requested through our app, Branch has the right to pull those funds back on or after the agreed upon due date through from the debit card on file or an ACH transfer from their bank account Also, when a user requests an earned wage advance within the Branch app, the payback date is very clearly displayed and agreed upon in the user flow.

In our interactions with Mr., we have explained the Terms of Service and his account history with us. Mr. has not responded since our last email to him on May 5th.

I took an advance for 340.97 to come out of my paycheck. I was charged this on April 7 but I was also charged an additional 154.99 on April 3 for a to pay back an amount that I never borrowed. I sent several screen shots, emails, created a ticket for this company with no response. They have no call in hours or ways to speak to a human representative. I just want this resolved.

We had received this complain directly in our support center and resolved it immediately on April 8th, explaining where the charges were coming from based on her advance history. There has been no follow-up communication or response from the customer, so we assume this is resolved. She also continues to use the application and her account remains active.

I have taken advanced from this app a couple of times and always paid back. They have my paydate wrong and have now locked me out because they are looking for a paydate that already came. I’m afraid my advance limit is going to be reduced over this. I contacted them three days ago and they responded to the wrong question and sent me some nonsense article. Now I can’t get a response at all.

Our apologies for the delay on our end, however this was settled with the customer 12/05. I have attached a screenshot of the resolution with the customer (***).

Please let us know if you need anything else from us. Kind regards.
