Review: My dump truck was towed from a side road on a Saturday morning. That same Saturday when I found out that my work vehicle had been towed I immediately called Brandl's Towing to see what I needed to do to pick it up. They informed me that I needed paperwork from the police(who had it towed because they thought it was abandoned) saying it was okay to release it. I asked the man at the towing company if there was going to be a daily charge for storage and he said "that's up to the boss" when the boss was asked he said "your problem is with the police not me, my price is the price" the question was never answered. When I went back that following Monday to get everything situated and was given the tow bill, I was in fact charged a daily storage fee of $60.00 that even after I asked was never informed of. When I looked over the bill I was shocked that they had charged me $425.00 on top of the $180.00 for three days of storage when the truck was only there for 48hrs. I have had my dump truck towed before and for a lot more miles and have never paid that much. When I went to pay using a credit card because Brandl's Towing advertises that they accept (American Express, Discover, VISA and MasterCard) I was told they would only accept CASH. I talked to Brandl's Towing on a few different occasions that weekend and was never told I would need to pay in CASH. I feel I was discriminated against and taken advantage of because of my line of business(Paver). They figured since the police towed me that they could overcharged me for the services they provided. I asked if they could do any better on the price and they said "NO". So I left and went to an ATM and got the cash when I came back and paid the man he went into his pocket to give me change back I felt this was unprofessional and not business like. Also, it never states on the bill how far they towed the vehicle so I don't even know if the price was justified or not I had nothing to go by.Desired Settlement: The bill Brandl's Towing gave me was for $654.16. I would like half of that back. I had to waste gas and pay ATM fees because I had to take out cash in order to have my truck released. On top of paying storage fees I was not aware of.
