After reviewing the service history for the vehicle in
questionThe first service visit concerning a check engine light was
11/22/at miles, we documented that the vehicle had a history code
stored for small emissions leak, referencing code#pPlease note that a
history code
represents a past problem with the vehicle and no failures were
present at the time of inspection, and the above referenced code refers to a
loose fuel capWe cleared the code for the check engine light concern and
returned the vehicleOn 2/13/at miles the vehicle was returned with
the check engine light on, we proceeded to scan for stored data in the system
and found code#psmall emissions leak, we checked the operation and ran the
self test of the emissions system and determined there were no mechanical
failures in the systemThe fuel cap was tight at the beginning of the
inspection and therefore was determined to be the source of the problemWe
replaced the fuel cap under warranty, cleared the code and returned the
vehicleThe vehicle returned for service on 4/24/14, 8/25/14,3/14/15, and
6/16/with no concern mentioned of the check engine light returning onThen
on 9/28/at miles the vehicle returned with the check engine light on
We scanned the codes in the system and found code# pand psmall
emissions leak, and charcoal canister failureThe recommendation was then made
to replace the charcoal canister and quote provided for $in labor and
$for the partTotal parts and labor charges of $472.25, *** *** *** *** declined to have the repairs completed and left in their vehicle
Please also note that there was no diagnostic charge associated with the
determination of the failure on their vehicle that would typically be charged
in the amount of $The vehicle traveled miles in between the fuel
cap replacement and the recommendation of the charcoal canister replacement
with no concern ever mentioned during the four visits when the vehicle was on
sight at our facilityI have attempted to reach out to the *** on
multiple occasions this week and have yet to receive a return phone call.They
are good customers of ours and we would like to assist in getting the repairs
completed on their vehicle by offering a 25% discount . *** ***Service Manager513-677-6700***

Please see the attached copy of our "we owe" that clearly states in the circled area that it is valid for 30 days. That being said, we have certainly in the past honored the we owe if it was in a reasonable amount of time after purchase. In this case it has been over 2 years and I can find no record...

of us owing the customer a second key. The customer has been into Service 5 times prior to her last 6th visit with one of those visits being 4 months after purchase. We are willing to sell the key at our cost and charge no labor to program. Please contact [redacted], Service Manager, so he can order the key and set an appointment for the key to be programed if agreeable.[redacted]

We made the refund to the Credit Card company and have no control over the length of time the Credit Card takes to process the refund.

I contacted Kia motor finance department today and they did not recieve the check for $518.00. The salesman, Tom Skeene and the person who was computing the numbers that night (I do not recall this person's name), told me the mileage overage would be taken care of and the final 2 lease payments as long as I bought another car form Kings Kia. I did lease another car that night. So I was under the assumption the final 2 payments and the mileage overage was taken care of by Kings Kia. If Kings did not agree to take care of these two items, I would have just purchased the 2013 Sportage outright thus avoiding any fees.[redacted]

I have reviewed the paperwork work from the deal and we agreed to make the final two lease payments but we did not agree to pay any mileage overages or damages. See attached documents.[redacted]
