We do appreciate the customer's business with our company however the services we provided are unrelated to the spark plug wires which he believes is the current issue. We installed a transmission and a starter neither of which requires any work being done near or removal of these wires. Further the...

customer left with the vehicle after having the starter replaced and made no mention at that time of any other issue. After attempting to explain this we did offer to diagnose the customer's car for the normal fee but they refused the service.

Review: This complaint involves a wide ra/nge of concerns. Initially came to Brandywine Auto Parts on 12/28/2013 to have a door hand replaced. The technician who put on the door handle, broke the door sensor. When I discovered the issue on 12/30/2013, I contacted [redacted] in installation. [redacted] said I could bring the car back but it was the holiday season and there would be a long wait. I told him I would give him a call back after holiday season. I than began working second job and classes started again for my MPA program which made it difficult to return during normal business hours. As tax season slowed (I am practicing tax accountant part-time), I refocused my attention on having the issue with my car fixed. I returned to Brandywine on 03/18/2014. [redacted] nor his representative where able to fix the damaged they caused to my vehicle. [redacted] said I should take the car to dealer and have them look at it. He said bring him the receipt and he would pay for it. Feeling satisfied with [redacted]'s willingness to make me whole again, I decided to purchase additional parts from Brandywine AutoParts. The representative I had [redacted], was and I sure still is very knowledgeable informed me, of what I additional parts and warranties would be suitable for my vehicle. I purchased a coolant reservoir, a power steering torque input sensor, and a steering column. [redacted] assured me the parts would be delivered the following day. I called the Auto Center where the parts were to be delivered to check on 03/19/2014 at approximately 3:30. The center informed me the parts had yet to be delivered. I called Brandywine Auto Center and after being transferred from the operator to [redacted], to voice-mail, than calling back and being transferred to [redacted] (works in Human Resources), finally got me in contact with [redacted]. the manager at or as he put it "The Boss". [redacted] informed that the parts would not be available until the following day. I explained that I had not agreed to have the parts delivered on 03/20/14, I had already scheduled appointments that I was financially liable for, and needed the parts as promised. [redacted]. told me he would pay for the $89.95 fee, I was going to be liable for. I agreed to wait until the following day. 03/20/14, comes and I receive a call from [redacted] at The [redacted] ( which is the auto place I choose to have my parts installed). [redacted] informs me that the parts had arrived but the delivery driver requested payment for the parts, I had already paid for. [redacted], said he refused to accept the parts, because he was not paying for them. I immediately call [redacted]. I am told by [redacted], that the driver will return immediately. I go to the [redacted] and wait for an hour and half after placing multiple calls and leaving multiple messages for [redacted]., who now was not answering my calls ( calls were made between 4:15-5:15).

Frustrated I called [redacted]. at 9 am on 03/21/14. I informed [redacted]. that I no longer wanted the parts. [redacted]. that was fine, he would refund my money. When I asked him about the $89.95 fee, he said and I quote "I am not paying for st now." I was very upset but I knew I would not get anything resolved talking to him. For what ever reason he was already angry, when I am the customer who has been coming to Brandywine since I got my first car, in 2001, and now because I was disrespected and yelled at, I can never use their services again.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my door alarm fixed, a refund for the parts, and as promised a check for $89.95.

Review: The motor blew up in my brothers car and Brandywine was the installation center we chose to have a remanufactured motor installed. After a few months that motor (the remanufactured motor) failed something internally came apart and we had to have the car towed back to their shop. The customer service from them was completely rude. I asked about the warranty ( 3 years / 100k miles) and they confirmed it was under warranty but wouldnt make the repairs unless I had the reciept although they had the invoice in front of them. My father had misplace the recipet and they told me that they wouldnt honor the warranty because we didnt have the invoice. I eventually found the reciept and made copies. I took the reciept to the shop and the counter person looked it over and put it in the file I was expecting to recieve my reciept back when the warranty was fufilled. It took them over 1 month to get them to replace the warranty motor after I provided all the required documents. Once we picked up the car from them I was not given my original invoice back and was told they didn't have it luckily I had made copies. Upon picking up the car my brother noticed it was running rough and we assumed it was the gas since the car had sat for so long, there were some noises from the engine bay, the car began vibrating shortly after and luckily we found the lug nuts that were loose on the driver side wheel. That is my concern safety above all else someone could have been killed due to there negligance.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to become aware of how its employees are treating the public and the safety issues addressed.

Review: Purchased a drive shaft from company and within a couple of months the part broke or was not working per the auto mechanic of [redacted] that purchased the part directly. We have contacted the staff [redacted], [redacted] who is the General Manager and [redacted] the owner. No other part was provided other than a make shift one that is to be converted and after speaking with dealer of Jeeps it was told problems come from this. The mechanic at [redacted], [redacted] is not familiar with this process as well.

I have tried to get a same part with no success.. There is another company but both the mechanic shop and this parts company wants us to purchase that will be more out of pocket expenses that I don't haveDesired Settlement: To find the same defective part to finish the job and/or for them to incur the additional expense of getting it from the other and only company that has it. I feel that both [redacted] and Brandywine is just passing the buck and neither wants to get the exact part replacement that they don't have but again another comany does and have just ignored that fact that the part was defective in the timeline of getting another one. The truck is and has been without the needed part that has incurred a burden on me that they obviously don't care. Just offering a refund with out replacement and the additional expenses of getting one at my expense is not possible nor professional as we have already received disrespect and unprofessional communications from both companies

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: this is the company that had the part and warranty so they can provide one time and because they don't have replacements are free from liablility/responsiblity? It is apparent from their response its lack of professionalism and some arrogance as to refund and that is it, when there is no other part provided and my truck is missing this part due to the purchased one being defective.
