in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. They did not respond but I called you folks this morning and said that the charge had disappeared from my credit card. The credit card company could not explain why it was no longer there but that the charge was gone. That is fine with me.

Review: On Wednesday, September 17, 2014, I left my Sony Digital Video Camera with "[redacted]" a store employee to be repaired due to it not operating properly. I also paid "[redacted]" a storage/deposit fee of $25.00. Moreover, [redacted] informed me that the technician (unnamed) would run a diagnostic test on the camera by Friday, September 19 to determine the problem. [redacted] also mentioned he would provide an estimate of the repairs by the aforementioned date as well.On Friday, September 19, I telephoned [redacted] to see if he had a status report. According to [redacted], the technician did not have any further information at that time. [redacted] further stated he would provide more information about the repair for the camera the following week. [redacted] also stated that my camera was next in line to be testedOn or about September 25 and nearly a week later, I telephoned [redacted] and he informed me that the technician had not been in the repair shop that week due to personal reasons. [redacted] once again stated he would have the technician give me a call once he returned to work. [redacted] stated that by Tuesday, September 23rd, I would definitely hear from the technician regarding the estimated repairs for my camera.On or about Friday, September 26,I telephoned [redacted] once again to obtain a status report on my camera. This time [redacted] told me the technician was on a service call and he would have him return my call upon his return to the shop. [redacted] also stated that my camera was next in line to be looked at by the technician.On Thursday, October 2, I telephoned [redacted] and he stated that there was no additional information about the camera and that the item was next in line to be tested. Finally, on Wednesday, October 8, I picked up my camera from [redacted] and requested my $25.00 deposit back on a broken promise of the company's advertisement of "Fast Service". [redacted] replied there are no refunds.This complaint is based on misleading information, false advertisement, and poor customer service. As a result, I am demanding my $25.00 be reimburse to me.Desired Settlement: $25.00 cash refund.

Review: I brought tv in and paid 25$ for diagnosis. paid 124$ for the repair. I brought Tv home and off on switch still did not work this was last May or June. Brought Tv back and have been brushed off a number of times. Was told I can't have Tv back and they never give refunds. I have been told the person I need talk too is out, the repair person is busy. We are waiting for a part .We will call you back etc. etc. This has been going on for for at least 5 to 6 months. My claim check is [redacted]Desired Settlement: Fix TV , or refund my $ and give me the TV so I can take it somewhere else. within 2 weeks.

Review: I called this outfit to see if they fix mini DV camera and 8mm tape player/recorder. The said yes and they said they charge $25 deposit for each item for estimate which will be applied to the repair if I decide to agree to the estimate. Otherwise they keep the deposit. I brought in my Canon mini DV camera with a stuck tape and my Sony 8mm player/recorder which showed no video output. Was told by the person at the business that I will certainly get an estimate in 2-3 days. After calling every couple of days for 5 weeks and being assured each time that they are diagnosing the problems and looking for parts, when I insisted to get a response was told that they cannot fix either item and asked if I wanted them to discard these or I will pick these up. I came to pick up the items and realized they have not even touched these - when I complained about the promised estimate or alternatively to refund the $50 ($25 for each of the 2 items) for which they did not provide any service, they said it was non-refundable. This is nota acceptable business practice - they should not get paid for providing zero service, I request a full refund.Desired Settlement: I do not trust they are competent to fix either the camera or the tape player. I demand full refund.
