Brant Sanders-Tennessee Trail Horses Reviews (1)

I am not a new rider. I share this review because I do not want other people to get hurt like I did. Are horses unpredictable? You bet! But an honest description of them sure would save a lot of time and potential problems. Honesty is what was so very well advertised to me before my purchase. Brant Sanders is a horse trader that has a website that sucked me in, I later saw his horse ads were very similar each and every time on horse ads (Equine Now) after my purchase, to the point he was copying and pasting ads. He makes a horse sound perfect, regardless of your questions about their quirks and shortcomings. Everything is downplayed that could be a flaw. Every horse has one, except TNT horses of course. Questions are avoided that could show potential shortcomings. A horse trader pro! Deception at its best.

I started slow, like with any new horse. I bought a SSH mare from Brant that was advertised as beginner friendly/husband safe, sweet and gentle, easy to handle, load, great with others. I first started out on rides in the nearby pasture. When I thought the horse was ready for a trail ride off property, we tried to load her into a slant trailer and it took over 45 minutes. She reared, refused to move and was awful. I was reassured repeatedly that she had no issues loading. I was told she was ridden all over the U.S. Ok, I brushed that off. And tried again.

On the trail, she was pushy and you could tell she was used to someone being more of a passenger and not asking her to do much. At a tiny creek crossing, she refused to cross. To make a long story short, on our first trail ride together, I broke my wrist and had to learn to write again. I have been in a cast for OVER THREE MONTHS. Physical therapy has been over six months, and I am lucky this is all that happened. I reached out to him once more sharing what happened right away, practically begging him to get the contact info (that he said he would) from her original owner. I wanted to connect with her for some honesty and truth to better help us figure things out. He never did. He lives in a small town, it would not have been hard. I got a 'bless your heart' text response and that was it. How kind! This lack of care for people is why I am writing this review.

It continues. She was a total aggressive bully in the pasture, once again, I was told she was docile and good in a herd. My gelding had hematoma marks and welts to the point where it was not safe to keep them together. She bites and repeatedly kicks like a maniac in the pasture (she will try to kick and make contact 10-15 kicks at a time). Pictures are posted for proof. She is aggressive to my other horses. I can't forget to mention that she WAS separated upon arrival, but decided one night to JUMP a four foot fence to get in with my geldings. Another "she never did that here" response.

Oh, and did I mention she rears on the ground when she doesn't want do something? Yeah. That's her go-to move and she has done it for a very long time. Brant Sanders deceived me. Please be safe and go elsewhere. I have proof, I have record of everything. I have pictures. I was kind and asked for him to return my money and take the horse back and he refused. Buyer beware.

A professional trainer would not ride this horse and did not trust her, she has a horrible temper and came this way. Brant Sanders could care less if people get hurt and could care less once a horse is sold about doing what is right. The love of money is the root of all, what is that Brant?
