I order a watch from Braithwait on 10/7. At the time their website indicated that the watch would ship in 24 hours. I waited for several days and then emailed their customer service inquiring why I hadn't received shipping confirmation for my order. At that time they told me that the order could not be filled because they were waiting for watches to come into the warehouse. I was told to wait a few days. A few days elapsed, I heard nothing, so I again emailed and got a response indicating that my watch order would be fulfilled in two weeks. In the meantime they changed their website to say that watch orders would be filled on 11/10. Two weeks and 11/10 passed, I heard nothing, so I emailed again. Again, I was told that my watch would take another two weeks to be shipped. Clearly their website is advertising a false promise. They are incapable of fulfilling these orders as mine has been waiting to be processed for over a month. Any new customers are having their accounts debited, thinking they're order is being fulfilled, and then told their order will be delayed. It is an incredibly deceptive way of running a business.

At NO point has the company been actually able to provide a date on when this order will be completed. Braithwait just continually pushes my order back with no explanation on what is causing the delay or when I can expect a response.

We have been experiencing longer than normal wait times due to a shipment that did not make it through quality control. We have been working as hard as we can to get a new shipment to replace it which should arrive this week. I checked on your order with our customer support team which you have been in continuous contact with and they assured me your order was cancelled and refunded by your request.

On behalf of Brathwait Watches, I deeply apologize for your inconvenience but assure you we are working day and night to fulfill all orders and want nothing more than happy customers.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and have determined that this does not resolve my issue. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In order for the bureau to continue to assist you, you MUST provide your view on the matter or your complaint will be closed as answered.
Two points:

First, I did not choose to have my order refunded because I decided I do not want the watch. The company's representative told me I should cancel it because she couldn't specify when the watches would be available. (sorry for the random bolding on the font) I wanted the watch, but faced with the options presented by the company I was left with no options. This is the first time I have heard there was a quality control issue and I spoke with customer service numerous times over the past 6 weeks. Had I known that I would have felt MUCH better about waiting for the watch.

Second, I have attached a screenshot of their website where they are advertising that the watch can be ordered and shipped by Nov 10th. That is a lie. The business knows it cannot fulfill any order for this watch and has no clue on when the next ones will be available. Meanwhile more customers will be purchasing these watches, having their accounts debited, and then subjected to the same experience I was.

I ordered a watch from Brathwait the week of 10/15. At the time of purchase, the Company advertised shipment by 10/26. On 11/5, when the item still hadn't shipped I contacted Brathwait who said it'd ship within 10 days. It is 11/26 and the item still hasn't shipped despite the Company advertising on its website that it will ship within 24 hours. Brathwait is falsely leading consumers to believe that it has the inventory to ship items when it knows it can't. It just so happens to be cyber Monday and instead of being honest with consumers about ship dates, it is lying to them saying it will ship within 24 hours so it doesn't lose out on a big day of cyber Monday sales.
