The buyers were offered to buy a warranty but stated the didn't have the moneyAt the time they road tested the vehicle and were
satisfied with its performance
A few days later the customer stoped by and said the check engine light came on and accused me of putting it out before we sold it to herI explained to her that this is not our practice and offered to show her vehicles on my lot that had check engine lights onI still offered to check the code and give her advice although the customer and son had not purchased a warranty and it would not have covered the light anywayI check the code which was an evaporation code usually associated with the gas vaporsI asked the young man who was the driver of the vehicle if he had just purchased gas and he said he had purchased gas the night before and the light came on right after
I explained that it could be a vacuum leak or the gas cap defective or just not tightened propertyI advised him the cheapest thing to do was purchase a new gas cap and to tighten it to it clickedI put the light out at this time
A month later the customer called and said they were driving the car and it was blowing smoke all over and would not run anymore and had to have it towed and was told the engine was shot and wanted her money backI told her she bought it and refused the warranty because of moneyIt was just $dollars which is my costl told her to call me with what really happened to the vehicle that made the engine go badEngines don't just go badMaybe a belt came off or a hose blew and the vehicle was continually drivenThe customer continued to tell me in a nasty way that she was going to call the Revdex.com and get a lawyer and sue me for the vehicle
I was going to help them to use my sources to get a used motor and have my mechanic install it as I do business with him and he helps me would give them my price to install
Someone that wants to put a $dollar engine in a hundred vehicle isn't looking out for his customer
After being threaten with the Revdex.com and a law suit I am reluctant to do anything for these customers
I feel that having starting problems in a few days and it started bucking and running rough that was the time to check what the problem was and contact meNot to continue driving the vehicle for weeks that wasn't running properly until it blows up
