Bravo Concrete Construction Reviews (1)

Review: I had my driveway completely torn out and redone by Bravo Concrete. Within months of the new driveway being laid, almost every slab cracked. My basement began leaking, and my siding on my house started cracking because the concrete was laid right up to the house. First of all, I was never provided with a written estimate or contract, nor was I ever supplied a receipt after completion of the driveway. I called Mr. [redacted], the owner, day after day, week after week. He kept saying he was coming to look at it and would never show up. Four months later, he came to look at it and said it cracked because it was a cold winter and because there was no rebar in it. He never told us it needed to be in there. He also didn't put felt up against the siding but he said that wasn't necessary. The only way he would redo his work is if we paid more money to have him do another section of driveway while he was here, so he wouldn't be coming back again for nothing. So I agreed to give him a chance to fix his original work, and do one more section. He said he would make sure to fix it correctly and use rebar this time. So by now, I paid a total of $5,000 to have my driveway done not once but twice, only to have it crack again. There is a section by my garage that is nearly two inches higher than the garage floor. If you aren't looking at your feet walking in and out of my garage, you will trip and fall flat on your face. I can not even push my motorcycle over the uneven surface. I called him again to tell him my driveway cracked again, and that my basement is leaking again. He said he is unable to even come and look at it for weeks! So the first driveway was done in August 2013, and they came back August 2014 to tear out what they already did and redo it again. That driveway has since cracked again as of march 1, 2015. My basement has also began leaking again and my siding is cracked and bowed where the driveway comes right up to the house. I have pictures of their work to support all my claims.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the entire cost because once again, my driveway will have to be torn out and redone. He was supposed to be the professional. He should have known what needed to be put into the concrete and up against the siding to prevent cracking. I have talked to several other contractors who have said that is what he should have done, and that the work was very unprofessional. I have to have my driveway redone for a third time because my basement is leaking due to the cracked concrete. I have to have my driveway redone for a third time because the concrete slabs are all cracked again. I have to have my driveway redone for the third time because the surface is so uneven that it is literally too dangerous to drive over and walk over. That is why I am requesting a refund for the entire concrete job. I gave this man a second chance to come and correct the first job he did, only to end up with the same results. I cannot trust this company to come a third time. It is too costly.
