Bravo's Plumbing Reviews (1)

I am responding to the following complaint. I am sorry you feel like you were not taking care of during your service. The first part I want to address is the part where you said an outside clean out could have been used instead of pulling the toilet up. Once our tech arrived he found out that the...

toilet was the only fixture that was backing up in the home. A clean out in the yard would be for the whole house not for the toilet. Also if you are talking about a wall clean out this would also only be for certain fixtures more than likely a kitchen sink. Since the toilet was the only item backing up going down this would be the best option instead of charging you for going down the clean outs and having to go down the toilet after all. So the reason this route was taken was to give you the best option. When the toilet is the only fixture backing up we attempt to use the small cable to unclog the toilet to once again save you money so if the tech could unclog it this way we save you for the additional drain cleaning and pulling the toilet. So once the tech starts drain cleaning it is $175 an hour but in your case this tech lowered this price to $125 to help with cost. Also in your case the job took up to 2 hours to unclog back up. Which you were charged $125 twice in this case. During pulling up the toilet to drain clean the tech found your flange was broken. This does not happen in most cases due to pulling the toilet up but most likely from not being bolted to the floor due to poor workmanship. So the tech sent you a picture and gave a price to replace this flange with a new flange not a repair and bolt it to the floor for $350. At your request you asked what a new toilet would cost the and the tech gave you that price of $450 ($35 for stop) and you agreed to move forward with the work of a new flange and toilet. I am sorry if you misunderstood what you were paying for but I can't do anything if you were not on the job to go over this in person. The tech did his best to explain to you over the phone the cost of the job and what you were paying for that day. As far as needing your wife to pay is because this business requires payment once the work is completed. Your toilet was no longer backed up, the flange was replaced and bolted and the new toilet was installed. All the work was completed so payment was due before we left. I am not sure were you are getting your pricing to know what this company should charge to keep us going but what you have asked for in return will not be able to be done. Once again we are sorry you don't like the outcome but we fixed your problem at the price we explained to you the best we could for you not being there to go over this cost.
