Review: hELLO, I AM A GENERAL CONTRACTOR. I WAS GOING THROUGH MY OLD PAPERWORK AND FOUND A CHECK FROM 1-6-2009 FOR $3,975.00 THAT WAS ISSUED FROM BRAVURA MOULDING COMPANY. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND EXPLAINED THAT I HAS A CHECK FROM 2009 AND WAS WONDERING IF THEY COULD RE-ISSUE SINCE I HAD NEVER CASHEDE THIS. A WOMAN ON THE PHONE STARTED YELLING AND SCREAMING AT ME TELLING ME THAT THIS IS A SCAM, THAT SHE IS GOING TO REPORT ME TO THE FBI, ETC. THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME. I CALLED BACK 4 TIMES AND LEFT A VOICEMAIL AS THEY ARE NOW NOT ANSWERING THE TELEPHONE. I AM SIMPLY TRYING TO GET THIS PAYMENT RE-ISSUED WITH A CURRENT DATE SINCE I HAD NEVER CASHED THIS. IT IS CHECK#[redacted] IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,975.00. I WOULD LIKE SOME ASSISTANCE. THANK YOU TODD REISINGERDesired Settlement: I WOULD LIKE A REPLACEMENT CHECK.

Back in 2008 someone copied an existing check and used it in a scam in which over 500 copies were distributed with the same amount of $3,975.00
These checks were being sent to random people with a letter telling them if they cash the check they can keep up to certain amount of it. (Just for cashing it!) Our bank was the first to alert us of this fraud and immediately took action to protect us and them.
Over the last five years the bank has retrieved a large majority of these checks but we still do receive calls. This was the second phone call this year that we received regarding this matter. When we explained to the first person who called a couple of months ago she clearly understood and said it was worth a try!! But this man [redacted] would not give up.
I tired explaining to him over and over again but he kept saying he did work for us and [redacted] referring to [redacted] as she signed the check for him.([redacted] is a male)
The simple fact is that this check is fraud, we have been in business for 25 years and have never used a contractor or have had a need for one. This Rodd Resigned should realize that he has a fake check and he has never done any work for us.
